SHINee's Key Reveals His Natural Side on a Trip to Gangwon Province

On the episode of MBC's variety show 'Home Alone' aired on the 23rd, Key embarked on a journey to Gangwon, which he affectionately calls his 'hometown of the heart.' Although originally from Daegu, Key expressed a special attachment to Gangwon, saying, "I have more childhood memories from Gangwon."

Upon arriving in Gangwon, Key visited a long-time favorite restaurant. He enjoyed a meal of mushroom stew and vegetable side dishes, and showed his frugal side by packing leftovers in ziplock bags he brought himself. Jeon Hyun-moo jokingly asked, "What did you eat? It looks like you didn't touch anything," to which Key replied, "Today's menu is a basic four servings."
During the meal, the restaurant owner commented, "You look younger today. Last time, you looked a bit older," leaving Key momentarily flustered.
Later, Key visited Hwaamsa Temple in Goseong, regardless of religious affiliation. He explained, "If I want to go to the mountains, I visit Hwaamsa; if I want to see the sea, I go to Naksansa." He took photos with tourists, lit a wish candle, and exchanged awkward greetings. The temple guide noted, "Christianity is love, Buddhism is compassion. Ultimately, the path is one."
Jeon Hyun-moo humorously likened the scene to greeting an old acquaintance, drawing laughter. Key concluded his temple visit by ringing the temple bell and even picked up a gift for Kian84, who enjoys temples. Kian84 responded, "My room is starting to feel like a temple."
