Go Youn-jung Discusses Chemistry with Co-star Jung Jun-won in 'Resident Playbook'

In a recent interview at a café in Gangnam, Seoul, Go Youn-jung, who stars in the tvN weekend drama 'Resident Playbook' (created by Shin Won-ho and Lee Woo-jung, directed by Lee Min-soo, written by Kim Song-hee), shared her experiences.
'Resident Playbook' follows the journey of medical residents aspiring to become wise doctors, capturing their growth and challenges. Go Youn-jung plays the role of Oh Yi-young, a first-year obstetrics and gynecology resident.
The unexpected romantic storyline between her character and 'Sah-don Bachelor' Koo Do-won, played by Jung Jun-won, has garnered significant attention from viewers. Go Youn-jung remarked, "We didn't expect to receive this much attention. Even the director and writer were surprised. The actors were taken aback too. In our group chat, we asked Jun-won, 'How does it feel to become a superstar, Sah-don Bachelor?' and he said it was all thanks to us. Despite concerns about the age difference, it's gratifying to see people excited about Yi-young and Do-won."

The eight-year age gap between Go Youn-jung and Jung Jun-won sparked mixed reactions. When asked about their chemistry, she said, "I didn't expect to hold hands by the third episode. It's an intriguing relationship for me. Jun-won oppa is an excellent actor, and his performances were inspiring. I didn't feel the age difference at all. He's very funny and kept everyone entertained on set. I wondered how we'd portray a romantic storyline, but his straightforward and genuine acting made the next shoots exciting and enjoyable."
