Go Yoon-jung Discusses Her Role in 'Resident Playbook'

In a recent interview at a café in Gangnam, Seoul, Go Yoon-jung, who stars in the drama created by Shin Won-ho and Lee Woo-jung, directed by Lee Min-soo, and written by Kim Song-hee, discussed her role.
'Resident Playbook' follows the journey of medical residents aspiring to become wise doctors, capturing their growth through various challenges. Go Yoon-jung plays the role of Oh Yi-young, a first-year obstetrics and gynecology resident.
Oh Yi-young is portrayed as indifferent and aloof, having become a doctor primarily for financial reasons. However, she gradually becomes more attached to the hospital and grows as a person. Was there any pressure in portraying such a character?

Her character's bold flirting with 'Sa-don' Gudo-won, played by Jung Joon-won, received positive reactions. When asked if her real-life dating style is similar, Go Yoon-jung replied, "I can't imagine having a crush for half a year like Yi-young. However, I do express myself fully without regrets." She continued, "The writer incorporated aspects of each actor into their characters from the start, so the synchronicity is high. I think I'm more affectionate and socially adept than Yi-young."
The drama also garnered attention with a cameo by PD Na Young-seok. Go Yoon-jung praised, "PD Na's acting has improved significantly. I remember seeing him as a cameo in 'Reply' and he's gotten better. We all applauded on set."
