South Korean singer and actress IU has reached a significant milestone by surpassing 10 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, earning her the coveted 'Diamond Play Button.' In a surprising twist, she also revealed that she does not have a driver's license.

On the 14th, IU's official YouTube channel released a video titled 'Unboxing the Diamond Play Button by 10 Million Subscriber Lee Ji-eun.' In the video, IU expressed her excitement, saying, "It arrived sooner than I expected. I heard it takes a few months after reaching the milestone, but I received it quickly." She humorously asked, "They won't take it back if my subscriber count drops, right?"

Reflecting on reaching 10 million subscribers, IU shared, "I filmed a live video at that moment, and it felt amazing. Witnessing that moment was a joy in itself. Now, I'm a bit more accustomed to it, and many people around me have congratulated me. It's gratifying to know the impact is so widespread that even busy people are aware of it. It still doesn't feel quite real."

IU highlighted her most memorable content as the April Fool's video, which garnered 10 million views. The video humorously depicted IU pretending to have obtained a driver's license and driving with her father, but in reality, she was acting from the passenger seat. "Even industry insiders were fooled," she said, "They kept trying to cast me in driving scenes for commercials and dramas. They didn't watch the video till the end." She confirmed, "I still don't have a license," bringing laughter.

IU expressed her fondness for her content, particularly 'IU TV' and 'IU's Palette.' Regarding her ultimate goal, she stated, "Now that I know there's a Ruby Button for 50 million subscribers, I should aim for that." When asked about any new plans outside of music and acting, she candidly replied, "None," eliciting more laughter.

In closing, IU shared her gratitude, saying, "May is a busy month. I think there will be good news for Uaena (her fandom)." IU is set to release a remake album, 'Kkot-Galpi,' on the 27th, marking her first in eight years.
