Park Bo-gum's New Drama 'Good Boy' Unveils Exciting Chemistry and Love Triangles

#1. Will Park Bo-gum's Romance with Kim So-hyun Blossom?
The relationship between boxing gold medalist and police officer Yoon Dong-joo (Park Bo-gum) and shooting gold medalist Sergeant Ji Han-na (Kim So-hyun) was hinted at in a teaser video, describing Ji Han-na as 'Yoon Dong-joo's first and last love.' Ji Han-na is a catalyst for Yoon Dong-joo's emotions, making him react instinctively and smile even at her cold rejections.
Unlike the passionate and straightforward F-type Yoon Dong-joo, Ji Han-na is a cool-headed T-type who remains unfazed by any obstacles, always aiming her target. The contrasting temperatures of these two characters and whether their hearts will connect to spark a romance is one of the exciting points to look forward to in 'Good Boy.'

The love triangle involving Ji Han-na, Yoon Dong-joo, and Kim Jong-hyun (Lee Sang-yi) also draws attention. Kim Jong-hyun, a former fencing silver medalist and now a meticulous police officer, is someone who can't easily take his eyes off Ji Han-na. Unlike him, Yoon Dong-joo is straightforward with his emotions, making him a significant presence for Kim Jong-hyun.
This dynamic leads to occasional childish battles and subtle tensions. In a recent web variety show 'Pingkego,' Park Bo-gum and Lee Sang-yi appeared together in matching outfits, sharing an episode about their synchronized walking habits, hinting at their perfect acting chemistry. Kim So-hyun also shared that her character's ability to maintain balance amidst the emotional 'brothers' was very similar to her real-life experience.
#3. Park Bo-gum's Bromance with Heo Sung-tae Promises Laughter
While Yoon Dong-joo is a headstrong character who charges forward, the head of the special investigation team, Go Man-sik (Heo Sung-tae), is a 'defensive type' who calculates before acting. His wrestling background has turned into a skill for enduring reality. Taking on Yoon Dong-joo, who was demoted to a police officer due to his constant mishaps, becomes a headache for him.
The bromance between the ever-determined Yoon Dong-joo and the reluctant accident handler Go Man-sik promises to be a delightful source of humor, providing laughter in every episode.
The production team stated, "'Good Boy' is a work where you can naturally encounter different chemistry by following the various relationships between characters. Focusing on the changes in teamwork will allow you to enjoy the drama even more richly."
Meanwhile, 'Good Boy' is a comic action youth investigation drama about medalists who become police officers through special recruitment, fighting against a world filled with dishonesty and unfairness. Directed by Shim Na-yeon, known for 'Monster' and 'Bad Mother,' and written by Lee Dae-il, known for 'Life on Mars' and 'Advisor' series, the drama will premiere on Saturday, May 31st, at 10:40 PM on JTBC.
