K-pop Star Jisoo Graces Harper's Bazaar Korea Spring Edition Cover Amidst Criticism

Harper's Bazaar Korea has unveiled the cover of its Spring Edition featuring global K-pop sensation and actress Jisoo. Previously, Jisoo faced criticism for her performance in Coupang Play's new series 'Newtopia,' with some questioning the high fees paid for her role.

Jisoo, who adorns the cover of Bazaar's first special book of 2025, is seen wearing the latest collection from Tommy Hilfiger, where she serves as a global ambassador. The theme 'Daydreaming' captures a serene afternoon with Jisoo and Tommy Hilfiger's vibrant moments. Jisoo's radiant presence perfectly embodies Tommy Hilfiger's casual vibe, leaving the staff in awe throughout the shoot.

In an interview, Jisoo discussed the challenges she faced while preparing her new album 'AMORTAGE.' She stated, "I wanted to capture emotions that everyone has experienced at least once. I believe there's no one who can't relate to the theme of love. I chose the title track 'earthquake' first because it felt like an uncontrollable song. It constantly changes from start to finish, making it unpredictable. I wanted the album to flow like a movie, expressing those trembling moments."

She added, "This album feels like the beginning of a significant challenge for me. It's a project where I worked with new people, breaking through together. I feel a strong attachment as I learn and grow with them."

When asked about the motivation behind her active career as both a singer and actress, Jisoo expressed, "I often wonder why I want to work harder, and I think it's the emotions created by my fans. I want them to feel proud when they see my performances and content. There were times when I questioned why I was so driven, but realizing that the love I receive fuels me is a great feeling."
