BTS's J-Hope has shared an update on his life in the United States, where he is currently residing for music production.
On the October 28th episode of MBC's variety show 'I Live Alone,' J-Hope appeared as a guest.
During the show, J-Hope expressed his long-standing desire to appear on 'I Live Alone,' saying, "I've always wanted to be on this show. Whenever I was asked about a program I wanted to appear on, I always mentioned 'I Live Alone.' Although it's a bit late due to my busy schedule with BTS and military service, I finally decided to make an appearance."

In the VCR segment, J-Hope was seen waking up around 9 AM, starting his day by tidying up his bed. He then discovered the show's signature Wilson doll and took a selfie with it, much to the surprise of panelist Park Na-rae, who remarked, "Even world-class stars take selfies." J-Hope responded, "It was fascinating because I've watched 'I Live Alone' so much."

The show revealed the interior of his home, impressing the panelists with its spaciousness and stylish decor. J-Hope explained, "I'm currently in L.A. for music production. I'm working on a very important single album. This was a plan I had even before my military discharge. I came to the U.S. with a strong determination to capture my inspirations in music."

The luxurious living room, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows, caught everyone's attention. J-Hope shared, "The wood and colors I love make me feel comfortable here. I often order delivery food."

His home also includes a studio for music production. J-Hope explained, "Since I'm here for music, I set up a workspace. I spend a lot of time at home and have everything set up for recording." Producer Code Kunst commented, "Sometimes, the best work comes from makeshift setups," to which J-Hope replied, "The work I've done here in the U.S. will be included in my upcoming album."

The house also features a bedroom, dressing room, a yard, and a swimming pool to enjoy the West Coast weather. The spacious kitchen is stocked with various cereals, familiar Korean snacks, candies, and kimchi, adding a personal touch.

When Jeon Hyun-moo cautiously mentioned that many are curious about J-Hope's home in Korea, J-Hope revealed, "I've been working on music in the U.S. since my discharge, and during that time, I was preparing to move into a new home in Korea." Jeon Hyun-moo joked, "It sounds like J-Hope has a big plan. Maybe he'll open up his Korean home for us to see," eliciting laughter.

According to real estate records, J-Hope purchased a 232.86㎡ (approximately 70-pyeong) unit in Apelbaum Han River in June 2020. The high-rise unit is reportedly valued at around 10 billion KRW (approximately $8.5 million USD), and J-Hope also owns a penthouse there. He completed the ownership transfer in June without a mortgage. The penthouse is valued at approximately 12 billion KRW (approximately $10.2 million USD). Additionally, he owns two units in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, without loans. He acquired an 84.81㎡ (approximately 25-pyeong) unit for 1.3 billion KRW (approximately $1.1 million USD) in 2016 and a 152.15㎡ (approximately 46-pyeong) unit for 3.7 billion KRW (approximately $3.1 million USD) in October 2018. His real estate assets are estimated to be worth around 27 billion KRW (approximately $23 million USD).
