K-Pop Star Lee Ji-hye Celebrates Birthday with Generous Donation to Pediatric Cancer Patients

On the 6th, Lee Ji-hye's YouTube channel 'Unhateful Attention Seeker' featured a video titled '45-Year-Old Lee Ji-hye's Epic Flex (Supercar, Donation)'.
Lee Ji-hye shared, "It was my birthday recently, but due to my schedule, I could only have a cake. I used to celebrate with friends, drinking and partying. This year, I wanted to do something different and decided to film my own vlog."
One of her birthday bucket list items was to purchase a 'small electric car'. Lee Ji-hye mentioned, "I want to buy a used one because a new car feels too extravagant."

Over lunch, Lee Ji-hye admitted, "I didn't plan to buy a car, but I felt tempted. It's like when you go to the mall or browse Instagram too much; you start wanting things."
Lee Ji-hye confessed, "I've been letting go of a lot lately." She added, "I'm trying to let go with my kids too. Parenting veterans say, 'Don't be too hard on the kids, and maintain a good relationship with your husband.' There are more things I can't control."
Reflecting on recent funerals, Lee Ji-hye shared, "I've been thinking a lot about death." Quoting lyrics from Baek Ji-young's 'Like Being Hit by a Bullet', she said, "Imagining my husband dying felt like a hole in my heart." She pondered, "How should I live while I'm alive? When the switch turns off, everything disappears like a bubble. Material things mean nothing."
Lee Ji-hye declared, "I need to save lives. I saw cars today, but I'm going to donate. I'll save the children." She continued, "When I die, if I've spread a lot of love, maybe my children will receive that love. I should do it for them too."
Lee Ji-hye concluded, "I was briefly tempted by material things, but they don't matter. I wanted to donate to sick children, so I got the number for Asan Hospital." She called the hospital, stating, "I want to donate 50 million won for pediatric cancer patients." Afterward, she humorously bought a luxury brand C perfume and keyring, saying, "I feel empty if I only donate, so I'll buy just one thing."
Back home, Lee Ji-hye transferred the 50 million won donation to the Asan Foundation in front of her husband, Moon Jae-wan, who praised her, saying, "That's impressive."
