Actor Park Young-kyu Shares Heartfelt Moments with Stepdaughter on 'Immortal Songs'

On the episode aired on the 1st, Park Young-kyu, who has been married four times, appeared with his 19-year-old daughter, Joana, to compete on 'Immortal Songs'. This marked the first time in his 41-year career that Park opened up his home to the public. The house featured hip photos with his daughter and a picture of his late son. The age gap between Park and his daughter is 54 years.

During the show, Park asked his daughter if she knew any of his hit songs. She replied, "I know 'Chameleon'." Park reminisced about his past, saying, "That was my only hit. I was popular back then, even earning more than the famous Na Hoon-a at times." He recalled earning up to 10 million won a day.
On the day of the 'Immortal Songs' recording, 2024 KBS Entertainment Awards winner and MC Lee Chan-won visited Park's dressing room. Fellow entertainer Eun Ji-won joked, "Lee Chan-won seems like a KBS employee, he's there more than the staff." Lee offered Park some tips for winning.
On stage, Park sang while his daughter performed a dance. Although their performance was moving, they did not win. Park reflected, "Creating memories with my daughter is precious. I never had such moments with my late son, which always pained me. I wanted to make memories as a father."
After the recording, MC Shin Dong-yup comforted Park, saying, "Difficult songs don't score well." It turned out both Shin and Park have daughters in high school. Park asked for parenting advice, to which Shin humorously replied, "Give her lots of allowance. Didn't you propose to your wife with a car? Give it secretly from her mom." Park had previously shared that he proposed to his wife with a car.
Park concluded, "Though we didn't win, I couldn't ask for more. I was truly happy and gained so much from the experience."
