K-Pop Star Lee Min-woo Diagnosed with Arteriosclerosis After 10 Years Without a Health Check-Up

On the October 18th episode of KBS2's 'Mr. House Husband', singer Lee Min-woo visited a health check-up center with his family.
Concerned about his aging parents' declining energy, Lee Min-woo decided to join them for a health examination. His parents, aged 79 and 80, expressed anxiety during the pre-examination interview, sharing their extensive medical histories.
Lee Min-woo's mother revealed her past battles with lung cancer surgery, knee stem cell transplant, dementia diagnosis, cerebrovascular procedures, and a family history of heart disease. His father also shared his experiences with rheumatoid arthritis and a stent procedure due to a myocardial infarction.

At 46, Lee Min-woo was undergoing a health check-up for the first time in a decade. His father expressed concern for his son's health, acknowledging the emotional stress Lee Min-woo had endured over the years.
After the examinations, the family anxiously awaited the results. Lee Min-woo's mother had a nodule in her lung but no cancer recurrence. His father was diagnosed with arteriosclerosis and a gastric ulcer, with the doctor suggesting further biopsy to rule out cancer. Lee Min-woo hoped for the best, saying, "I want to believe it's not cancer. It's my biggest concern."
The most shocking revelation was Lee Min-woo's own health results. Despite being in his mid-40s, he showed early signs of arteriosclerosis and hypertension. The doctor noted, "It's uncommon for someone in their 40s to have arteriosclerosis. It could be influenced by family history." Lee Min-woo's expression grew more serious as the doctor recommended medication for high blood pressure and noted traces of a gastric ulcer.
Lee Min-woo stated, "I need to pay more attention to my health, especially for my worried parents." Fortunately, a week later, biopsy results confirmed that neither Lee Min-woo nor his father had cancer.
