Exy of WJSN: A Multifaceted Talent in K-Pop and Beyond

Debuting in February 2016 as the leader and main rapper of WJSN, Choo So-jung has been a force to reckon with. Her bold spirit was evident even before her debut, as she appeared on 'Unpretty Rapstar 2'. Recently, she has shifted her focus to acting, using her real name, Choo So-jung. She made a notable cameo in 'Marry Me Now' and is currently filming 'Divorce Insurance', while awaiting the release of the drama 'Heo's Restaurant' and the film 'Eighteen Youth'.

On her copyright earnings, she humorously remarked, "It's quite lucrative," and noted that she earns the most among WJSN members. She added, "The number of songs I've worked on makes a difference. Even my family doesn't know how much I earn from royalties. It's been a blessing during times without work."
Reflecting on the enduring popularity of the song 'As You Wish', she shared, "Every year-end, I used to feel anxious, but the love for 'As You Wish' changed my perspective. Knowing that people listen to it with hopes for the new year is meaningful. It comforts me too."

Among WJSN members, Choo So-jung, along with Kim Ji-yeon (Bona), Son Ju-yeon (Eunseo), and Lee Lu-da, are pursuing acting careers. She expressed no concern over others advancing faster, emphasizing mutual support and understanding that everyone moves at their own pace.
She shared, "I've learned to go at my own pace. It's important to focus on the present and do my best with what I have now."

Despite the challenges, she values the experience gained as a leader, stating, "The experience has been invaluable, and I'm grateful for it." WJSN has maintained consistent leadership since their debut in 2016, and Choo So-jung expressed her desire to remain the group's leader indefinitely.

Having trained extensively from a young age, she debuted in her 20s as WJSN's leader and has since embraced various challenges as an actress and producer. Reflecting on her journey, she said, "In my 20s, I missed seeing what was truly important, but those experiences have matured me."
As she steps into her 30s, Choo So-jung is ready to shine even brighter as a versatile entertainer, with a strong inner foundation and diverse potential.
