Uhm Jung-hwa Opens Up About Marriage Plans on YouTube

Uhm Jung-hwa has expressed her thoughts on marriage.

On the 22nd, a video titled 'The Reason Baek Ji-young Called Uhm Jung-hwa, and Their Tears' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Umaizing Uhm Jung-hwa TV.'

In the video, Baek Ji-young asked Uhm Jung-hwa, "Aren't you getting married?" Uhm jokingly replied, "They say marriage is crazy."

Uhm Jung-hwa then seriously added, "I never thought about marriage, but it seems like this might be the right time. Just comfortably, like friends," and noted, "It's different from having a child." Baek Ji-young agreed, saying, "It's about finding a companion." Uhm Jung-hwa laughed, "Our lifespans have increased. They say it's the era of living to 100, and I've lived about half of that. I'm half a century old."

Baek Ji-young then explained, "The reason I asked is because if you ever plan to get married, I want to sing at your wedding." Uhm Jung-hwa joked, "Will you sing 'Like Being Hit by a Bullet'?" Baek Ji-young laughed, "No, maybe 'Love, Agony' or 'Don't Forget.'"

Baek Ji-young shared, "I thought about it on my way to meet you today. If you get married, I would love to sing at your wedding." Uhm Jung-hwa responded, "I hope that happens," to which Baek Ji-young sincerely replied, "I will pray for it."

Wrapping up the conversation, Uhm Jung-hwa asked Baek Ji-young for any final words. Baek Ji-young wished, "Stay healthy. I want you to be healthy because I look up to you as a senior, and I want to see how you are when you're 60 and 70." Uhm Jung-hwa thanked her, saying, "Thank you."

Born in 1969, Uhm Jung-hwa debuted in the 1992 film 'Marriage Story' and began her singing career the following year. She continues to be active in various fields.
