Ji Chang-wook Reveals His Mastery in Second-Hand Trading on SBS Show
Actor Ji Chang-wook showcased his expertise in second-hand trading.
On the October 12th episode of SBS's variety show 'Anytime', Ji Chang-wook appeared as a guest.
Ji Chang-wook revealed that he recently purchased Pokémon stickers, known as 'Tibutibu Seals', for 260,000 won (approximately $220) through a second-hand trading app. He mentioned, "I asked the seller for a discount and managed to buy them for 260,000 won," and shared that he personally went out for the transaction. Wearing a mask, he met the seller in front of Dongdaemun Migliore to trade the Pokémon sticker scrapbook.
When asked why he bought them, Ji explained, "I wanted to use the stickers as actual stickers. People tend to collect them, but I wanted to stick them everywhere." He has since placed them on various items like tumblers. Ji humorously added, "It's a rebellion against those who don't use stickers as stickers," and noted, "I still have many left." Ji also shared a story about purchasing a game skin coupon through second-hand trading. "There's a mobile game I play, and a pop-up store opened. They give out coupons there, which can be exchanged for game skins," he said. "I couldn't make it to the pop-up store, so I bought it for 120,000 won (approximately $100) through second-hand trading. I met the seller in person in Nonhyeon-dong to ensure it wasn't a used coupon, as there's always a risk of fraud," he explained.
When Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Did they recognize you?" Ji replied, "Probably," with a shy smile. Yoo further inquired, "Weren't they surprised?" to which Ji responded, "Not as much as you'd think. They often ask why I'm buying it, and I just say I love games."
Yoo Jae-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, and Ji Chang-wook also tried their hand at 'Cup Kicking', a game known among musical actors to relieve tension during breaks. Both Yoo Yeon-seok and Ji, who have experience on musical stages, showed their competitive sides. Yoo Yeon-seok confidently claimed, "I play Cup Kicking a lot. I have a knack for scoring," but ended up missing the target repeatedly. He humorously blamed the brand of the cup, saying, "It's different from what I'm used to." Ji chimed in, "The paper cup is thin. It's eco-friendly, isn't it?" bringing laughter to the set.
