KBS2's 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' Continues to Dominate Ratings with Engaging Moments

KBS2's 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' MC Jeon Hyun-moo showcased his exceptional skills in the latest episode.

The 280th episode of the KBS2 variety show 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' (hereafter 'The Boss') aired on the 10th, achieving nationwide ratings of 5.3%, metropolitan area ratings of 4.4%, and a peak rating of 7.8%, maintaining its position as the number one show in its time slot across all channels for 129 consecutive weeks, according to Nielsen Korea.

Boss Jung Ji-sun sought the expertise of Michelin 1-star chef Kim Do-yoon, with 33 years of experience, for new menu consulting. Chef Kim's treasure trove-like aging room left Jung Ji-sun in awe, featuring ingredients like a 3-year-old golden tilefish head, 3-year-aged cod roe, 1-year-old duck esophagus, 1.5-year-dried sea cucumber, and 7-year-aged sansho pickles. Jung Ji-sun eagerly eyed these ingredients, suggesting they would suit Chinese cuisine, but Kim Do-yoon firmly declined, humorously defending his treasures. Following their appearance on 'Black and White Chef,' Jung Ji-sun reported a threefold increase in sales, while Kim Do-yoon escaped deficits, drawing attention. However, they also shared the downside of newfound fame, with strangers asking for loans via social media.

A thrilling new menu showdown using beef unfolded between the two chefs. Jung Ji-sun presented a traditional Chinese dish, Huangjinjingjiangyousi, with green onions and cucumbers, while Kim Do-yoon introduced a North Korean-style sundae without glass noodles. Judge Kim Dong-wan praised each dish, likening them to 'Peking duck' and 'a rediscovery of sundae,' ultimately awarding victory to Kim Do-yoon's sundae, despite Jung Ji-sun's humorous protest about their friendship influencing the decision.

Designer boss Ji Chun-hee's 'Miss Gee Collection 2025 S/S Collection' day was unveiled, attended by a star-studded lineup including Kwon Sang-woo, Myung Se-bin, Park Kyung-lim, Oh Yeon-soo and Son Ji-chang, Cha Ye-ryun and Joo Sang-wook, Na Young-hee, Choi Myung-gil, Kim Yoon-ah of Jaurim, and Go Kyung-pyo, reminiscent of a film festival. Jeon Hyun-moo humorously claimed an outfit for his year-end awards ceremony. The event concluded successfully with Ji Chun-hee and her daughter Ji Jin-hee taking a bow, receiving warm applause for their four months of hard work.

Announcer Um Ji-in arrived at work at 3 a.m. for special mentoring of junior Hong Joo-yeon. Criticizing Hong's use of hair rollers and face packs at work, Um Ji-in remarked, 'The office is for socializing; it doesn't look good.' Jeon Hyun-moo defended Hong, stating, 'Why is this an issue?
