KBS 2TV's 'Suspicious Woman' Set to Captivate Audiences with Star-Studded Cast and Compelling Storyline
'Suspicious Woman' is a romantic musical growth drama that follows the story of grandmother Oh Mal-soon, who suddenly transforms into 20-year-old Oh Doo-ri and enjoys a second chance at her prime. The drama promises to captivate home audiences with a more robust storyline and emotional depth than the original film.
Directed by Park Yong-soon, known for his work on 'Secret Mother,' 'Wanted,' and 'Divorce Lawyer in Love,' and written by Heo Seung-min, who penned 'Risky Romance' and 'The Blue Bird,' the drama is drawing attention for its creative team. The cast includes veteran actress Kim Hae-sook, along with talented actors Jung Ji-so, Jinyoung, and Chae Won-bin, who are expected to enrich the drama with their performances.
Kim Hae-sook plays the role of Oh Mal-soon, a grandmother who runs a soup restaurant after losing her husband at a young age. After a quarrel with her daughter Ji-sook, Mal-soon leaves home and mysteriously returns to her 20-year-old self. She embarks on a journey to fulfill her long-lost dream of becoming a singer. Kim Hae-sook, known for her unparalleled acting skills, is expected to deliver a touching and heartfelt performance as the feisty grandmother.
Jung Ji-so takes on the role of Oh Doo-ri, a character with a youthful appearance and a surprising, bold charm. Doo-ri, who oscillates between a fresh-faced 20-year-old and a cheeky 70-year-old, makes a dramatic entrance in Jongno. She joins Eunice Entertainment as an idol trainee to achieve her dream of becoming a singer, a dream she couldn't fulfill in her first life. Jung Ji-so, who has proven her acting prowess in numerous hit productions, will showcase her diverse charms as a 70-year-old grandmother who suddenly becomes 20.
Jinyoung plays Daniel Han, the former leader of the popular group Ignis and the current chief producer at Eunice Entertainment. Daniel is a genius planner responsible for composing, producing, and setting the group's image map. His life takes a turn when he meets the mysterious Oh Doo-ri (played by Jung Ji-so). Jinyoung, known for his versatility across genres, is set to bring new allure to the drama 'Suspicious Woman,' a remake of the film he starred in a decade ago.
Chae Won-bin portrays Choi Ha-na, Mal-soon's (played by Kim Hae-sook) granddaughter. A model student who always ranked first in school, Ha-na gives up on college entrance exams to pursue her true dream of becoming a singer and becomes a trainee at Eunice Entertainment. Chae Won-bin, who captivated viewers with her chilling performance in 'Such an Intimate Betrayer,' is expected to showcase a new acting transformation in this drama.
'Suspicious Woman' is scheduled to premiere in December, following the conclusion of 'Face Me.'
