Behind the Scenes of Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin's 'The Call You Made' Poster Shoot
The behind-the-scenes of Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin's poster shoot for 'The Call You Made' has been unveiled.
Set to premiere on Friday, the 22nd at 9:50 PM, MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'The Call You Made' (planned by Kwon Seong-chang, directed by Park Sang-woo and Wi Deuk-gyu, written by Kim Ji-woon, produced by Bon Factory and Baram Pictures) is a secret romance thriller about a couple in a strategic marriage of three years, shaken by a threatening phone call.
On the 4th, the making-of video for 'The Call You Made' poster was released, featuring Yoo Yeon-seok (as Baek Sa-eon) and Chae Soo-bin (as Hong Hee-joo) transformed into their characters. The concept of the actors guiding viewers through the poster shoot added to the enjoyment.
Yoo Yeon-seok showcased a high level of synchronization with his character 'Baek Sa-eon', the youngest spokesperson for the presidential office with an impressive resume. As the shoot began, he immersed himself into the character whose life is disrupted by a threatening call, skillfully expressing emotions with sharp expressions, earning admiration. Chae Soo-bin also drew attention by transforming into 'Hong Hee-joo', a sign language interpreter suffering from mutism due to a childhood accident, and Sa-eon's wife in the drama. She perfectly portrayed Hee-joo's secretive side, who undergoes significant changes after being kidnapped by a mysterious figure, completing the best shots.
During the shoot, Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin shared genuine chemistry, making viewers smile with their playful interactions despite the serious concept.
The two actors also introduced the poster's concept. Yoo Yeon-seok explained, "Since the genre of the work is a romance thriller, we tried to capture a warm yet cold and secretive atmosphere," while Chae Soo-bin added, "We wanted to show the complex and subtle relationship between Sa-eon and Hee-joo, as if they are in the same space but separated."
From the main couple poster to the teaser poster, Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin participated in the shoot sequentially and revealed the drama's key points. They stated, "With a story full of twists and turns and a genre combining romance and thriller, viewers can enjoy various fun aspects," adding, "Watching the evolving relationships of the characters alongside the events will provide another layer of enjoyment. We ask for your interest and love."
Based on the popular KakaoPage web novel of the same name, 'The Call You Made' is a collaboration between writer Kim Ji-woon, known for solid writing in works like 'Melancholia' and 'Doctor John', and director Park Sang-woo, who showcased his sensuous directing in 'The Forbidden Marriage, Joseon Marriage Ban'.
'The Call You Made' will premiere on Friday, the 22nd at 9:50 PM.
