Miyeon of (G)I-DLE Playfully Calls Out Jeong Dong-won on 'City Z in the Countryside'

Singer Miyeon from (G)I-DLE humorously revealed an incident involving Jeong Dong-won. On the evening of the 6th, at 8:30 PM, the 5th episode of ENA-E Channel's 'City Z in the Countryside' (hereafter referred to as 'Countryside Z') aired, featuring Yang Se-chan, Lee Eun-ji, Lee Yi-kyung, Song Geon-hee, Miyeon, Jeong Dong-won, CHUU, and ZEROBASEONE's Sung Han-bin and Seok Matthew. The episode depicted a day in Nam-sa Yedam Village, Sancheong, Gyeongsangnam-do, known as Korea's most beautiful village and a scholar's village. The members enjoyed various challenges themed around local specialties and showcased their skills in preparing a dinner table, creating a delightful Sunday evening.

Gathered in a traditional Korean house in Sancheong, the 'Countryside Z' members began with a talk about recent events. Miyeon expressed her disappointment, saying she met Jeong Dong-won at the airport and even boarded the same flight, but he didn't greet her. Jeong Dong-won, caught off guard, explained, "I would have approached if I was alone, but I was with other members and didn't want to make it awkward," bringing laughter to the group. The much-anticipated 'Countryside Z' rural mates, CHUU and ZEROBASEONE's Sung Han-bin and Seok Matthew, appeared, and they were divided into two teams for a two-day village experience and challenges. Their mission was to fill their health booklets with more stamps to become ambassadors.

With Song Geon-hee and Miyeon as team leaders, they initiated a 'physical age test' to select team members. CHUU, claiming to have a stiff neck, joked, "I would be in my teens otherwise," but failed hilariously at the posture test, causing laughter. Miyeon also struggled but managed to pass, while Seok Matthew succeeded with an unusual posture, proudly entering the 20s age range.

Next was the 'core strength test,' where participants had to sit and stand using only their core muscles while holding their hands together. Jeong Dong-won, seeing Lee Eun-ji and CHUU succeed easily, became nervous. Despite attempts, he couldn't stand due to others stepping on his shirt, leading him to exclaim, "When did you start doing this?" Even after removing his shirt, he couldn't succeed, revealing his inability and causing laughter.

In the first challenge, Miyeon's team, consisting of Yang Se-chan, Lee Eun-ji, Jeong Dong-won, and Sung Han-bin, faced off against Song Geon-hee's team, including Lee Yi-kyung, Seok Matthew, and CHUU, in a game called 'Even in a Tiger's Den, Stay Alert.' The tiger team had one member wearing special glasses to give instructions to blindfolded teammates, while the human team had to collect dried persimmons from boxes. Lee Yi-kyung used gestures and mixed Korean and English to explain the rules to Seok Matthew, who struggled with Korean, bringing humor to the scene.

Seok Matthew wore the special glasses first, and while his team fumbled, Jeong Dong-won swiftly collected persimmons with agility and quick judgment. Matthew, frustrated by Jeong Dong-won's continuous box-raiding, nearly lost his composure, causing laughter. Miyeon, who volunteered as leader, repeatedly apologized and eventually sat down, roaring like a tiger, making everyone laugh. In the end, Jeong Dong-won took over the glasses for a second speed match against Matthew, but Song Geon-hee's team won with 13 persimmons to Miyeon's team's 7, earning the mental strength stamp.

Next, Miyeon's team engaged in making herbal pouches and foot baths for immunity, while Song Geon-hee's team experienced Chuna therapy for vitality. Lee Eun-ji and Yang Se-chan, washing each other's feet during the foot bath, displayed genuine friendship by playfully hitting each other's soles and intertwining fingers between toes, causing laughter. Meanwhile, CHUU enjoyed the Chuna therapy, lying on the floor with happy exclamations, while Seok Matthew, experiencing it for the first time, showed contrasting discomfort, adding to the humor.

The next game, 'Elders' Playlist,' involved guessing the singer and song title as elders sang along to music through headphones, with the prize being hearing and Sancheong black pork. The elders' incomprehensible humming and alien-like language confused the members. Jeong Dong-won, once again confident, stood up and pleaded, "Trust me just once," but failed, prompting Lee Eun-ji to exclaim, "How can I trust you!" causing laughter. However, Jeong Dong-won redeemed himself by correctly answering the next question after a thorough discussion with Lee Eun-ji, bringing a satisfied smile.

Finally, for the first dinner menu in Sancheong village, Sancheong black pork jar barbecue, cream pasta by Seok Matthew, and kimchi stew with CHUU and Miyeon as chef and assistant were prepared. CHUU, confessing it was her first cooking attempt in three years, led the preparation of 'Kim-CHUU' stew with her close friend Miyeon, sparking curiosity about its taste.
