Kim Jaejoong Discusses Marriage with His Sisters
Kim Jaejoong shared a heartfelt conversation about marriage with his sisters.
On the 27th episode of KBS 2TV's 'New Release Pyeonstorang' (hereafter 'Pyeonstorang'), Kim Jaejoong was seen enjoying drinks and chatting with his sisters.
Gathered in the living room with his first, second, sixth, seventh, and eighth sisters, Kim Jaejoong, despite being a veteran singer with 21 years of experience, was the youngest at home. To prepare snacks for the drinking session, he headed to the kitchen with his eighth sister. Overwhelmed by his sisters' diverse preferences, he humorously lamented, "At this rate, I won't be able to get married."
The sisters reminisced about Kim Jaejoong's popularity during his school days. While he modestly claimed, "I only received chocolates and Pepero, but I wasn't that popular," his sisters disagreed. They revealed, "Actually, you were very popular. There's a secret you don't know. The eighth sister managed all the girls who liked you."
It turned out that many girls visited their house to see him, but his eighth sister had been intercepting them. She admitted, "I didn't like any of the girls who came for Jaejoong. They had to go through me first. I cut off all the love letters sent to him."
Learning this truth after 30 years, Kim Jaejoong was bewildered. He confessed, "There was one girl you didn't stop. I got my first kiss at the front gate." To this, his eighth sister shockingly replied, "I arranged that." Kim Jaejoong humorously remarked, "I was just a pawn in my eighth sister's game. What a teenage love tragedy!"
Kim Jaejoong then asked his sisters for their thoughts on him getting married before turning forty. The sisters had mixed opinions, with some saying, "It's not too late," and others suggesting, "Don't wait too long."
Curious about the qualities his sisters wanted in a sister-in-law, the seventh sister said, "I hope he meets a calm woman who respects elders and is flexible." The sixth sister preferred a strong woman who could handle Kim Jaejoong and stand firm in their large family. The second sister wished for a nurturing woman who would be good to both their parents and Kim Jaejoong. Given their large family, she concluded, "It would be ideal if she had one good trait from each of the eight sisters, but that's too much to ask. Just find someone you like." She added, "Don't wait until you're over forty." Kim Jaejoong sighed, "I guess I'm not getting married." He shared that his ideal type is someone respectful and polite.
Kim Jaejoong's parents also sent a heartfelt video message filled with love and concern. Watching it, Kim Jaejoong became emotional, saying, "Thinking about my father makes me cry. He was so scary when I was young," and added, "I see my future in him," expressing his deep affection.
