K-Drama 'Face Me' to Premiere in November with Star-Studded Cast
Scheduled to premiere in November, 'Face Me' is a new Wednesday-Thursday medical drama that follows a cold-hearted plastic surgeon and a passionate detective as they work together to uncover the truth behind crimes through reconstructive surgery for victims. The drama explores the dynamic between two individuals with contrasting personalities who gradually influence each other.
Directed by Jo Rok-hwan, known for 'Voice 2', and written by Hwang Ye-jin, the writer of 'Secret Mother', 'Face Me' promises a blend of mystery, thriller, romance, and medical humanism. The intriguing combination of lead actors Lee Min-ki, Han Ji-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, and Jeon Bae-soo has already generated significant anticipation among prospective viewers.
Lee Min-ki takes on the role of 'Cha Jung-woo', a top plastic surgeon with impeccable skills and looks, often referred to as a 'medical god'. A double-board certified specialist in both plastic and emergency medicine, Cha Jung-woo can instantly visualize the cause of an injury and the treatment method upon seeing a patient's trauma. However, he is emotionally detached and never forms personal connections with his patients. His frozen heart begins to thaw when he meets a woman who challenges his emotional barriers.
Han Ji-hyun plays 'Lee Min-hyung', a fearless and empathetic ace detective in the violent crimes unit. Passionate about catching 'bad guys', Lee Min-hyung finds herself working closely with Cha Jung-woo on victim support cases. As she gets closer to him, she ventures into the depths of his hidden wounds.
Lee Yi-kyung portrays 'Han Woo-jin', a plastic surgeon and Cha Jung-woo's friend since high school. Han Woo-jin, who dreams of gifting beauty to all girls, is known for his sharpness, humor, seriousness, and exuberance. As Cha Jung-woo's closest friend, Han Woo-jin helps him navigate through his struggles. Lee Yi-kyung, who received acclaim for his performance in 'Marry My Husband', is expected to bring his unique charm to his character in 'Face Me'.
Jeon Bae-soo plays 'Kim Seok-hoon', the head of KSH Plastic Surgery in Gangnam and Cha Jung-woo's mentor. Known for his unparalleled business acumen, Kim Seok-hoon rescues Cha Jung-woo from a crisis while also pursuing his own interests. Despite his calculative nature, he possesses a warm heart, making him a multifaceted character.
'Face Me' will premiere in November, following the conclusion of 'Dog Sound'.
