Veteran actor Baek Il-seob has shown a more comfortable relationship with his wife.

On the 28th, Channel A's variety show 'Dad and Me' featured a celebration for Baek Il-seob's 80th birthday and his 60th anniversary in acting.

To celebrate Baek's 80th birthday, his son, daughter-in-law, and twin grandchildren visited him. Baek's son, Baek Seung-woo, bore a striking resemblance to his father in both appearance and demeanor. Baek Seung-woo introduced himself, saying, "I started playing golf when I was 11 and continued until college. I was briefly part of the national golf team. Now, I give golf lessons and run a golf practice range."

Baek's daughter-in-law caught attention with her elegant appearance. Baek praised her, saying, "She takes care of me every year on my birthday. She also helps manage my son's practice range. My son isn't good with finances, but she handles everything."

Baek has reconciled with his estranged daughter, who sent him a birthday message. When his son asked, "Isn't it nice to see your daughter again?" Baek replied, "Yes, it's comfortable. It's good that there's no more resentment." Baek, who is separated from his wife, shared, "Yesterday, I talked to Mom and said, 'We had many good days despite the fights,' and she agreed." Baek added, "Without the feelings of hatred, it's more comfortable. This way of living is good."

In an interview, Baek's son revealed, "I used to side with my mom in their relationship. But as I grew older and had children, I began to understand my father's perspective. Both have their own viewpoints. I decided to do my best for both of them while they're still alive." When MC Jeon Hyun-moo commented that Baek seemed more comfortable talking about his wife, Baek admitted, "I bear much of the responsibility. It's mostly my fault. I left, so it's my mistake. We're not enemies."
