EXID's Hani Steps Down from JTBC4's 'Review Four Cuts' Amid Controversy
Former EXID member and actress Hani has announced her departure from JTBC4's new variety show 'Review Four Cuts'.
On the 20th, representatives from 'Review Four Cuts' confirmed, "It is true that Hani has voluntarily stepped down." 'Review Four Cuts' is an observational variety program that provides honest reviews of trending items, 'must-have' products, and cost-effective goods in a rapidly changing era.
JTBC had previously announced on the 11th of last month that Hani, who is preparing for marriage, would be joining the show. Hani's departure is being interpreted as a consequence of the controversy surrounding her partner, Yang Jae-woong. In May, a patient died at the psychiatric hospital operated by Yang Jae-woong.
On the 29th of last month, Yang Jae-woong expressed his official stance through his agency Mystic Story, stating, "Regarding the incident that occurred during the admission process at W Jin Hospital, both I and the former medical staff are deeply saddened and cannot hide our grief. We sincerely apologize to the bereaved family who are in sorrow after losing their loved one."
Hani publicly acknowledged her relationship with psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong in June 2022, revealing that they had been dating for two years. In June, she shared a handwritten letter along with a photo of herself wearing a bridal veil, announcing her marriage. Hani and Yang Jae-woong were scheduled to hold their wedding in September, but recent rumors suggest that the wedding has been postponed. Regarding this, Hani's agency Sublime stated, "It is difficult to confirm as it pertains to her private life."
