Shinhwa's Jun Jin Reveals Love at First Sight with Wife Ryu Yi-seo
Jun Jin revealed that he fell in love with Ryu Yi-seo at first sight.
On the 18th, TV Chosun's 'Baekban Journey with Heo Young-man' (hereinafter referred to as 'Baekban Journey') featured Shinhwa's Jun Jin.
Jun Jin's real name is Park Choong-jae. He shared, "My grandfather gave me this name, which means loyalty and planting. When I asked about its meaning, I was told that both my father and grandfather wanted me to become a soldier. However, I ended up serving as a public service worker," he said, bringing laughter.
Jun Jin married former flight attendant Ryu Yi-seo in 2020. The couple, now in their fourth year of marriage, continues to enjoy a loving relationship.
Recalling his first meeting with his wife, Jun Jin said, "I went to a gathering because a close junior was getting married. The bride asked if she could bring a close friend, and when she walked in, I fell in love at first sight."
He continued, "I couldn't speak when I saw her. My hands were trembling as I poured her a drink," he reminisced. "I was surprised, and later, my wife told me that she opened her heart after seeing me like that," he added.
The couple dated for about 2 years and 7 months before getting married. Jun Jin said, "Even before we started dating, I kept telling her, 'You will date me, and we will 100% get married. I will make it happen.' At first, she thought I was crazy because we weren't even close. But thanks to that, we could proceed with the marriage quickly," he laughed.
Jun Jin and Heo Young-man visited a café. Jun Jin showed his meticulous side by setting up the table to take beautiful photos of patbingsu and castella. When Heo Young-man asked, "Do you do this when you prepare dinner for your wife?" Jun Jin replied, "Always." Heo Young-man admired, "You are a man who can't help but be loved."
Jun Jin reminisced about the patbingsu his grandmother used to make. He said, "This patbingsu has the same moderate sweetness as the one my grandmother made. She always made everything by hand for her grandchildren," he recalled. Heo Young-man commented, "You will understand that feeling when you become a grandfather."
At a yukgaejang restaurant, Jun Jin said, "This tastes just like my grandmother's cooking. I was really surprised. Even the bowls are the same," he said. "I grew up in the hands of my grandmother, who was from North Korea. It brings back so many memories. It's so delicious. I was really surprised," he repeatedly expressed his amazement.
