Jeong Seok-yong has been cast in a new JTBC drama

Actor Jung Seok-yong will appear in the drama 'Family X Melo'.

JTBC's new weekend drama 'Family X Melo' (directed by Kim Da-ye, written by Kim Young-yoon, produced by MI SLL), which is scheduled to premiere on the 10th, is a bloody family melodrama about a father who was abandoned 11 years ago and returns as the owner of the building where their family lives.

Jeong Seok-yong plays the role of Jang Chun-sik, the tycoon of Yongdong-dong who has been running a hardware store in the same location for over 30 years. He is a character who knows everything about every household in the neighborhood, but due to his poor memory, he is unable to convey everything clearly, which adds to the fun and is expected to make viewers laugh.

Jeong Seok-yong said, "'Family X Melo' is a work with a dense story development and great plausibility. I remember vividly how the director communicated directly with the actors on set and created the work, which made filming enjoyable and easy."

He added, "I'm excited to be able to greet you like this. As this is the sequel to my previous work, 'She's Different Day and Night,' I hope it will receive good energy and be loved. Please watch it a lot."

Starting with the 2024 drama 'Marry My Husband', Jung Seok-yong has been showing the standard of hard work by appearing in many works including 'Se-jak, Fascinated Ones', 'Day and Night Different Woman', and 'Thank You'. His continued performance is highly anticipated as he returns to the small screen soon with 'Family X Melo'.

JTBC's 'Family X Melo' starring Jeong Seok-yong will first air at 10:30 PM on the 10th.
