Taegu Um was in serious financial trouble.

Actor Eom Tae-gu expressed his gratitude to his landlord for taking care of his situation, saying he had been behind on rent for two years.

Eom Tae-gu appeared on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block', which aired on the 7th. Tae-gu Um's older brother is director Tae-hwa Um. The two worked together on six works.

When asked how the relationship between brothers is, Eom Tae-gu replied, "They don't talk much, but it's not bad." He added, "When I was young, I was beaten a lot by my older brother. But now that I'm older, it's a little different. I feel sad for my older brother."

Eom Tae-gu said, "The most frustrating time was when my brother used his own money to film an independent film. We stayed up all night filming it, so he was dozing off thinking, 'Action!'" He said, "When it rained during the filming of the movie 'Ingtugi' directed by my brother, I was worried about my brother's production costs. My brother had very little income and had to bet everything on one movie. I felt pitiful."

He confessed, "When I was filming 'Playful Woman', 'Concrete Utopia' was released. I was very worried, but fortunately the movie did well. Since my brother did well, it gave me strength as well." Then Uhm Tae-hwa appeared on the screen. He said about his younger brother Eom Tae-gu, "It's not that he was silent from the beginning. As he grew older, he gradually became less talkative."

Uhm Tae-hwa said, "When I was first trying to direct, my younger brother said he was acting. We started by saying, 'Let's make something together.' Tae-gu is a good actor, and he's good at any role he takes on. He's a colleague I'll continue to work with in the future." He revealed that it was a special friendship.

When asked if he ever thought about quitting being an actor, Eom Tae-gu confessed, "I did too much. I felt like I had no talent for acting and I couldn't adapt well to the field. I was scared to go to the field. I even felt like I was entering the grave."

When asked if there was ever a time when he had a hard time because his work wasn't coming in, Eom Tae-gu said, "There were too many. There were times when I had nothing to do the next day and couldn't see the future. There was a time when I was behind on finances by 24 months. I've paid it all off now, but at the time, I had no income." “It was because I didn’t have any, the landlord understood that I was working hard,” he recalled. Eom Tae-gu was grateful, saying, “I barely saved enough money for a month, and the landlord gave me vitamins for my hard work.”
