CIX Hyunseok selected as male lead in drama

Hyunseok, born in 2001, the youngest member of the group CIX, leads a travel romance web drama.

Hyunseok will appear in 'Roman Rhyul Season 3.5', the fifth story of the web drama 'Probability of Meeting Romance While Traveling' (hereinafter 'Roman Rhyul'), which will be released through OTT at home and abroad next year.

‘Romanryul Season 3.5’ is Korea’s only travel romance web drama produced by Crank Up Media, and filming will begin in earnest in August. This time, set in Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province, it is expected to evoke a consensus of sweet and bitter romance through the story of couples who face separation while experiencing the excitement of traveling at the same time.

Hyun-seok plays the role of Kim Ha-jun, the male protagonist who lives with pain in the face of cold reality. It is expected that we will be able to see Hyunseok's new image.

CIX's lead dancer Hyunseok is also actively working as an 'acting idol' actor. He began his acting career in 2021 with the role of Kim Dae-young in the web drama 'When I Fell in Love with Iljin', and starred as Jin-woo in the EBS 1TV drama 'The World You're Missing' and as Bu-roun in the Wavve drama 'The Chairman is Grade 9'. It also took a leap forward.

CIX, which Hyunsuk belongs to, successfully released its first single album '0 or 1 (Zero or One)' this year and also completed a concert tour in eight cities in North America. Recently, in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of their debut, they also communicated with fans through '2024 FIX WEEK', which presents various contents for a week, and is preparing for a comeback in the second half of the year. Bae Jin-young, who was the group's center and main dancer, announced the news of his withdrawal on the 5th.

'Roman Ryul' will begin filming in August with production support from the Korea Creative Content Agency, and will be released through domestic and overseas OTT starting in April next year.
