Mnet's 'Road to Kingdom' launched in the second half of the year
Mnet's 'Road to Kingdom' heralded a major change.

On the 26th, Mnet announced that it is preparing to launch the newly renewed 'Road to Kingdom' with the goal of broadcasting in the second half of this year.

'Road to Kingdom' is a competition program featuring boy groups' competition and was first broadcast in 2020. It highlighted the potential of idols by highlighting boy groups such as the winning team The Boyz, ONF, and Pentagon. It has been reported that Cravity, Tempest, Unite, The New Six, Abtio, Eightton, Cycus, etc. will appear in the new season.

Thanks to this, 'Road to Kingdom' begins to stand on its own through rebranding. Unlike the previous work, which was more of a prequel program to gain the right to participate in the sequel, 'Kingdom', it sheds new light on boy groups. The plan is to independently brand 'Road to Kingdom' as part of Mnet's independent 'K-Pop Boy Group Rising Project'.

A composition that is different from the previous format was predicted. 'Road to Kingdom', which is being shown four years after the previous work, is scheduled to be broadcast under a new subtitle to match the changed structure. The reality element is also further strengthened. The existing winning privileges, which are directly related to appearing in the sequel, will also change.

The new season of ‘Road to Kingdom’ will be directed by Mnet producer Jo Woori. Producer Jo Woori has a history of directing the stages of the ‘Queendom’ contest that aired in 2019. Attention is being paid to whether or not another gem can be discovered in the rebranded 'Road to Kingdom', with PD Jo Woo-ri at the helm.
