Lee Hye-won found out too late that the gesture she made was an insult in Brazil.
In the 26th episode of Channel A's 'Family Beyond the Line', which will air at 9:40 pm on the 22nd, the colorful daily lives of 'Family Beyond the Line' living in Brazil, Portugal, and Austria will unfold. Lastly, Cha Seo-yul and Heo Kang-won, a couple living in Austria, reveal how their Chinese-Austrian husband Heo Kang-won, a member of 'Heroes' Generation (Lim Young-woong's fan club), actively sells Lim Young-woong in Salzburg.
The couple Choi Myung-hwa and Juener introduce themselves as "We first met in Hungary five months ago and are currently traveling and working in various European countries." They arrive in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the new destination for 'digital nomads'. In Sao Paulo, Juener's hometown, they visited Ibirapuera Park, reminiscent of New York's Central Park, and the cute Villa Maddalena Mural Village, then headed to Sao Paulo Central Market to choose a gift for their mother.
Hyewon Lee, who was watching the video, recalled, “I’ve been to this place before,” and “There was an embarrassing incident while I was walking around the market.” Hyewon Lee says, “I went shopping while bargaining with merchants, as is usual in the market, but I found out later that the hand gesture that expressed ‘OK’ to the merchants was an insult.” He then confessed that his face even turned red, saying, “I was cursing around the market without even realizing it.” Carlos, a guest from Brazil, also explains, “This is a gesture that should not be used locally,” and “It should be replaced by the ‘thumbs up’ pose.”
After finishing shopping at the central market in Sao Paulo, the couple Choi Myung-hwa and Juener head to Monteverde, Juener's hometown, and reunite with Juener's mother for the first time in a long time. However, Choi Myung-hwa, who was nervous before meeting her boyfriend's mother, saying, "I'm so nervous," focuses on filming the touching reunion scene between Juener and her mother with her cell phone before the first greeting.
