Yook Jin-su confessed that his second son had undergone 40 surgeries over 6 years due to airway stenosis.

Actor Yook Jin-soo, a former martial arts athlete, revealed that his second son was suffering from illness.

Yuk Jin-soo and Lee Hanna appeared on Channel A's 'Oh Eun-young's Golden Counseling Center', which aired on the 13th.

Jinsu Yuk and Hanna Lee shared their concerns, saying, “My son, a high school senior who refuses his parents’ help, might be suffering from high school senior disease.” Their first son, Jiwon, is said to be refusing to go to an academy, saying he will study on his own. Jinsu Yuk and Hanna Lee expressed their frustration at not only receiving no help from their parents despite the wide discrepancy in grades by subject, but also closing the door to communication with their parents.

Oh Eun-young said, “If a child closes the door of communication without discussing it with his or her parents, there is a high possibility that he or she has not experienced the support of his or her parents.” She asked, “Is there any hurt in their hearts?”

Jinsu Yuk confessed that his second son, Jiwoo, was suffering from illness, saying, "As soon as my second son, Jiwoo, was born, I was in and out of big hospitals for a long time." It is said that he suffered from cyanosis due to inability to breathe on his own. Accordingly, the parents had no choice but to pay more attention to their second child, and the first child grew up in the hands of his grandmother and grandfather.

Jinsu Yuk and his wife's second son was born with 'congenital airway stenosis' and reportedly underwent 40 surgeries over the course of about 6 years. Lee Hanna said, "When I was pregnant, I didn't know the baby was sick. He was born and couldn't breathe. At first, he came out because his esophagus was cut off. I went into surgery right away. While I was in the intensive care unit, I developed airway stenosis again. I stayed in the hospital for about 6 years." He explained. Jinsu Yuk said with tears in his eyes, "I stayed in the hospital for 6 years. It was really difficult."

Oh Eun-young understood the feelings of the eldest child, saying, "The parents who said 'they were bringing in a younger sibling' were absent for 6 years, so I would have thought 'maybe they have abandoned me' or 'they don't love me'." Lee Hanna said that her eldest child once said, "Mom doesn't come home because she loves her younger brother. Mom only likes her younger brother." When he was being raised by his grandmother due to his parents' absence, he once saw a car identical to his mother's and said, "Mom didn't get out of the car even when she saw me." Hanna Lee confesses that she was heartbroken because she thought Jiwon had abandoned her.

Jinsu Yuk, who was listening to his wife's story, blamed himself, saying, "It seems like my wife is shouldering my son's problems alone." He confessed the pressure he felt as a husband, father, and head of the household, having to survive in the world of martial arts, support his family, and take responsibility for caring for his second child.

Jinsu Yook also confessed that due to the trauma of experiencing violence in middle school, he insisted on being strong not only for himself but also for his children. He recalled, "Even back then, he was strong and big, but he had a soft personality. I bullied him every day until the end of school. When the teacher turned around, the person next to him kept hitting me. When I went to the bathroom, my lunch box was gone." He explained, "I think that's why I kept emphasizing to my son, 'Don't cry as much as your father. You must be strong at all costs.'"

Oh Eun-young suggests a solution to reconnect the broken conversation between a couple and their son, saying that parents should understand the feelings of their youngest child, who must have felt left alone in the open sea. Oh Eun-young emphasized the need for time to honestly talk about the family's feelings and concerns.
