Park Inbee expressed her affection for her husband Nam Kihyeop.
Golf player Inbee Park and coach Nam Ki-hyeop and their husband appeared on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block', which aired on the 17th.
Inbee Park said, “I got married in 2014. It’s been 10 years now.” About the first meeting between the two, Nam Ki-hyeop said, "My teacher is a professional. He said he didn't have the right to compete and was getting older, so he thought I should exercise while taking lessons. The teacher had acquired a golf driving range in the U.S. at the time, and he said he needed a manager there. “He entrusted it to me. I went to the United States in August 2006. At the time, my wife was practicing at the same golf course,” he recalled.
The couple's daughter was 9 months old. MC Yoo Jae-seok asked, “I heard you are providing early golf education.” Nam Ki-hyeop said, "We both play golf, so golf is something we can teach well. When we drink milk, the baby keeps squeezing his hands tightly, so I tell him to relax his hands. He has to turn his body well during the backswing, so I turn his head slightly." I trembled jokingly.
When Yoo Jae-seok asked, "What if my daughter wants to play golf?" Park In-bee said, "I like it. I want her to do it. I even put a golf club on the stone table. I like it as a golfer, so I hope she gives it a try."
The two reportedly got engaged in 2011. Afterwards, Kihyeop Nam coached Inbee Park. Yoo Jae-seok asked, “You said you fought a lot for two months after taking lessons.” Inbee Park said, "There were many conflicts. I was so angry that I exaggerated my swing. But the ball hit the ball well. My swing was wrong to the point where I had to exaggerate it like that." Kihyeop Nam recalled that time, “When I lay down, all I could think about was my wife’s swing.”
Afterwards, Inbee Park won three consecutive LPGA major tournaments in 2013, starting with winning the Evian Masters in 2012, and rose to No. 1 in the world rankings. Inbee Park said, "Before I met you, I won 1 US Open, but after taking lessons, I won 20 LPGA wins. The two of us won 20 games together. Since I appear on TV a lot, people around me say to my husband, 'I met your wife well.' “She said to me, ‘I met my husband well.’”
Inbee Park’s cumulative prize money is 23.7 billion won. When asked if she, as a husband, pays tuition as a coach, Inbee Park replied, “I signed a contract with salary and incentives.” Nam Ki-hyeop laughed and said, “It’s thick.”
