Park Ji-hoon, an actor even the director trusted
On the 27th, 'Fantasy Sonata' released a still showing the sharp confrontation between Park Ji-hoon and Hwang Hee. 'Fantasy Love Story', based on the webtoon of the same name, is a fantasy historical drama romance between a man with two conflicting personalities and the woman who loves him, between fresh love and fierce obsession.
Previously, a highlight video containing the grand story of the main episode was released, making prospective drama fans excited before the first broadcast. In addition, the performances of young actors such as Park Ji-hoon (as Sajo Hyeon and Ak-hee), Hong Ye-ji (as Yeonwol and Gye-ra), Hwang Hee (as Sajo Yung), and Ji-woo (as Geum-hwa), etc., and the directing clearly shows the genre characteristics of fantasy historical drama romance, All elements of the play, including the relationships between the characters, attracted attention. Among them, the tense conflict between Sajo Hyeon and Sajo Yung, which showed the power struggle between brothers over the throne, attracted attention.
Sajo Hyeon is a person who has not fully healed from the wounds he received from his oppressive father, Seung Sajo (played by Kim Tae-woo), when he was young. He has a beautiful appearance and a brilliant mind, but he leads a double life unbefitting of a prince of a country, hiding his identity and working as a fashion designer in a low-street clothing store. On the other hand, Sajo Yung is the king's illegitimate son and Sajo Hyeon's half-brother, and although he has a personality that is praised within the palace, he is a duplicitous person who hides a darker ambition than anyone else.
As such, one wonders what kind of fateful battle the two brothers, each with their own secrets, will engage in for the throne of the Assassination Kingdom. Director Lee Jeong-seop, who was in charge of directing, said, "In the play, Sajo Hyeon, Yeonwol, Sajo Yung, and Geumhwa are all characters with their own dual sides. As I had faith in actor Park Ji-hoon that he would play two two-faced characters well, actor Hwang Hee also played the character of Sajo Yung. “I had trust that they would make him into an attractive villain,” he said, expressing his trustworthy feelings toward the two actors. Attention is being paid to what kind of tension the two people, who meet as fateful rivals, will bring to the play.
‘Fantasy Sonata’ will premiere on January 2, 2024.
