'Lee Jae, I'm Dying Soon' is a life-changing drama in which Choi Lee Jae (played by Seo In-guk), who is about to fall into hell, experiences death and life 12 times due to the judgment made by Death (played by Park So-dam).

Seo In-guk takes on the role of Choi Lee-jae, who experiences only frustration throughout his life and then faces the judgment of death as a reward for giving up on life. Seo In-guk, who was a big fan of the original webtoon, said, "As Lee Jae is a character who faces the border between death and life, he is very close to instinct and has a three-dimensional sense of emotional expression. I was drawn to that charm." The reason for choosing was stated.

Seo In-guk said, "As the story involves Choi Lee-jae entering another person's body, I thought Choi Lee-jae's character should be clear so that he can accurately convey the character of other people and in various situations. Other actors will understand Lee Jae. “I had a lot of conversations with the director to be able to do that,” he said. In order to be in sync with the other actors playing Choi Yi-jae, Seo In-guk recorded and showed his acting during the reading, while also creating the character while reading together.
