According to Nielsen Korea, a viewership rating research company, on the 25th, the viewership rating for 'My Demon', which first aired the previous day, was 4.5% nationwide and 5.1% in the metropolitan area. It immediately hit a high of 6.5%. The viewer rating for the target 2049 audience was 1.7%, signaling a good start for the drama as it ranked first among Friday-Saturday dramas.
The broadcast on this day opened with the appearance of Do Do-hee (played by Kim Yu-jeong), who is living in a fog where it is impossible to know who is an enemy and who is an ally, and Salvation (played by Song Kang), a demon from 200 years ago. The salvation of demons whose reason for existence is to make contracts with humans. The contract period is ten years, and the condition is soul collateral. To escape from hellish reality or to realize their desires, people grabbed the hand that the devil extended, even though they knew it was dangerous. In this way, devil salvation has enjoyed eternal life by pledging human souls.
Do Hee is a stranger among the children of Mirae Group Chairman Joo Cheon-sook (played by Kim Hae-sook), with whom she is not related by blood. Do Hee lived harder than anyone else to survive. Joo Cheon-suk's wish is to make a side for Do-hee before he dies. Do Do-hee heads to the meeting place to keep her promise to Joo Cheon-suk and has an unexpected meeting there. Do-hee, who went to the wrong place due to a mistake by the couple's manager, was mistaken for the man who met the devil's salvation. Do Hee, who was just trying to fill the time, lost her attention for a moment by the visual of the man she met. The devil salvation also suddenly appeared, breaking his peace, and was displeased with Do Do-hee, who only said things he did not understand. The devil Guwon is the first person to make her nervous, and Do Do-hee blushes at the cold yet kind appearance of Guwon. The bickering first meeting of two people who were somehow intertwined created excitement.
Do Hee left for Sokcho to find Noh Su-an (played by Lee Yoon-ji), the culprit who had spread an article defaming the company. But Noh Su-an did not appear. After drinking alone until late at night, recalling happy memories with her parents, Do Hee called a substitute driver and headed home. But soon a crisis struck. Do-hee, who sensed something suspicious, became alert and asked who sent it, and the deputy driver suddenly changed his mind. And Do-hee struggled to escape from him, saying, “The reason you die is Joo Cheon-suk.” An unexpected person appeared in front of Do Do-hee, who was running away in fear. It was a devil salvation who was wandering around looking for a new contractor. Do Do-hee extended a helping hand to Gu-won, and Gu-won proposed a contract. Desperate, Do Hee accepted the contract. Salvation, who subdued the assailant in an instant. He then approached Do Hee, who was hiding behind the guardrail, and held out his hand, saying, "I guess you haven't forgotten the contract."
The moment Do Hee took hold of Salvation's hand, another crisis occurred. Seeing the car approaching them, Guwon snapped his finger, but for some reason, the demon Salvation's ability did not work. In shock, Guwon fell down the cliff with Do Hee, and the two sank into deep water. Do Do-hee grabbed the hand of the unconscious Gu-won, but it was not easy. At that moment when she couldn't bear to let go, a tattoo of the cross of salvation began to be engraved on Do Hee's wrist. The two people woke up on an unfamiliar beach. Gu-won was confused when he discovered that his cross tattoo had been transferred to Do-hee. When he grabbed Do-hee's wrist, a large wave hit, and the heart-pounding ending of the two people locking eyes in a mysterious water tunnel made me even more curious about future developments.
