Will 'Decision To Leave' Park Chan-wook head to the U.S. Critics' Choice Awards?

According to Ten Asia coverage on the 9th, director Park Chan-wook of 'Decision to Break Up' is adjusting his schedule to attend the 28th American Critics Choice Awards, scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, USA on the 15th (local time).
‘Decision to Break Up’ was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film Award. This work depicts the story of Hae-jun (played by Hae-il Park), a detective who investigates a mysterious death in the mountains, and begins to feel both suspicion and interest when he meets Seo-rae (played by Tang Wei), the wife of the deceased.
Director Park Chan-wook was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 2005 and 2016 Critics' Choice Awards for 'Old Boy' and 'The Handmaiden', respectively, but failed to win the award. Attention is being paid to whether this ‘Decision to Break Up’ will allow them to enjoy the joy of winning.
In addition, Apple TV+'s 'Pachinko' (directed by Kogonada) and ENA's 'Weird Lawyer Woo Young-woo' (directed by Yoo In-sik, written by Moon Ji-won) were nominated for the Best Foreign Language Series Award. Park Eun-bin, the main actor in the drama 'Weird Lawyer Woo Young-woo', and director Yoo In-sik confirmed their attendance at the awards ceremony.
Previously, in 2020, our film 'Parasite' (directed by Bong Joon-ho) was nominated in seven categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Ensemble, Best Art, Best Editing, and Best Foreign Language Film, and won the Best Director and Best Foreign Language Film awards.
Also, last year's Netflix original drama 'Squid Game' won two awards at the awards ceremony. Actor Lee Jung-jae enjoyed the honor of Best Actor and lifted the Foreign Language Series Award trophy for 'Squid Game'.
Expectations are high whether Korean content will be able to enjoy the joy of winning at the Critics' Choice Awards again this year.
Meanwhile, the Critics' Choice Awards is an award in which the Critics' Choice Association (CCA), the largest critics' organization in North America, including the United States and Canada, evaluates the work of broadcasts and movies and the acting skills of actors.
