On this day's broadcast, Kim Hye-joo's shocking past was revealed. 20 years ago, when she was living as Kim Jae-eun (played by Kim Hyun-joo/Jeong Lee-ju) in her hometown of Yeongsan, she was falsely accused of the death of Jin Seung-ho (played by Lee Min-jae), the twin brother of Jin Seung-hee (played by Ryu Hyun-kyung/Oh Yu-jin). Kim Hye-joo, who was carrying the guilt of being branded a murderer regardless of whether it was true or not, was overcome with even greater anxiety and fear as she was discovered by Nam Jung-do (played by Park Hee-soon).

Jin Seung-hee suddenly came without warning, and Kim Hye-joo fell into a state of panic when she heard the name Kim Jae-eun again for the first time in 20 years. She canceled her appointment with Kim Soo-bin (played by Jeong Soo-bin), who was supposed to go see her son Nam Ji-hoon (played by Jeong Taek-hyun), and returned home, but Jin Seung-hee, who took her contact information, constantly harassed Kim Hye-joo. A link to the news about Ji Seung-gyu, a medical student at a prestigious university, and his extreme choice, along with the question, 'Did your husband kill someone too? But after sending a message saying, ‘Does your husband know about your past, too?’, he pressured her by urging her to come to Yeongsan in person because there was something she couldn’t talk about today.

Meanwhile, Nam Jung-do, who was digging into the land speculation suspicions of Kang Soon-hong (played by Jang Gwang), met Choi Ki-young (played by Ki Tae-young). Choi Ki-young bluntly told her to stop investigating her mother-in-law Lee Yu-shin (played by Gil Hae-yeon). Nam Jung-do, who was returning home after promising the next meeting without much progress, heard the news that Ji Seung-gyu's mother, who had died, had taken medicine. That evening, Nam Jung-do put down his National Assembly badge and headed to the hospital. Nam Jung-do expressed sincere consolation to Ji Seung-gyu's father, who was holding him by the collar and venting his anger, saying, "I came today not as a member of the National Assembly, but as a father who also lost a child." Next, chief aide Jang Woo-jae (played by Kim Moo-yeol) was caught secretly filming the scene.

Because of Jin Seung-hee, Kim Hye-joo became more sensitive than usual. While I raised my voice at the sight of Kim Soo-bin holding his cell phone and the fact that he secretly visited the book repair shop, my heart became heavy when I saw the news that the wife of a lawmaker belonging to the same party as Nam Jung-do had caused a hit-and-run death. But I couldn't run away this time either. I had to follow Jin Seung-hee's unilateral promise to meet at Yeongsan at 7 PM. However, a completely unexpected person was waiting for him along with Jin Seung-hee. That was her husband, Nam Jung-do. An unexpected face-to-face encounter between Kim Hye-joo, Nam Jung-do, Jin Seung-hee, and Choi Ki-young continued.

Kim Hye-joo's past secrets were completely revealed and attracted attention. It gave us an idea of the circumstances under which Kim Hye-joo had to change her name and leave her hometown, and the reason why her terrible relationship with Jin Seung-hee's family began. Kim Hye-joo's narration, "That day wasn't the first time everything started to become distorted. For Kim Jae-eun, a poor orphan, it was an offer she couldn't refuse. Jin Seung-ho, who heard the conversation between the two, accused them of using him as an excuse to take advantage. Accordingly, Kim Jae-eun gave up money and chose the truth. As a result of the report, Jin Seung-ho committed suicide, and Lee Yu-shin accused the victim, Kim Jae-eun, of being a murderer.
