'Vigilante' is an action thriller about Kim Ji-yong (played by Nam Joo-hyuk), who is a model police student who protects the law during the day, but lives as a vigilante who directly judges criminals who have escaped the law at night, and the people surrounding him with different goals who fiercely fight against each other. .

In this 4th episode, Kim Ji-yong, who managed to escape the murder scene of Jang Sun-do, the culprit of the grandmother's assault case, while avoiding the siege of Jo Heon (played by Yoo Ji-tae) and Choi Mi-ryeo (played by Kim So-jin), encounters 'Jjamgilante' who imitates him. He introduced himself as a 'fan' and suggested joining hands with him, saying, "We can join forces, right? Then we can become perfect, Jiyong," and what changes will the appearance of 'Jjamgilante' bring in his actions? It stimulates curiosity.

Jo Heon, who is convinced that he saw Vigilante at the hospital where Jang Sun-do was hospitalized, begins an investigation to find CCTV footage that may contain his image, but cannot find any evidence. Jo Heon goes to Professor Lee Jun-yeop (played by Kwon Hae-hyo) at the National Police University with the suspicion that Vigilante might be a police official, saying, "He is a very sincere and just crazy guy. Maybe he knows us very well."

After that, Jo Heon, who had been slowly narrowing down the investigation net, suddenly blocks Kim Ji-yong's path and warns him. It stimulates curiosity as to what kind of confirmation Jo Heon has discovered to see Vigilante's identity.

DK Group's Vice President Jo Kang-ok (played by Lee Jun-hyuk) sees Choi Mi-ryeo's broadcast and goes to see her, offering to help Vigilante with him. Afterwards, Choi Mi-ryeo begins to dig into Kim Sam-du (played by Yoon Kyung-ho), the chairman of Seol Future Resources, a company sponsored by Jo Kang-ok, and foretells that the case will enter another phase, raising expectations for an exciting development.
