'One hit scandal', Jeon Do-yeon and Jung Kyung-ho's viewer ratings tripled

The 8th episode of 'Ilta Scandal' recorded an average nationwide household viewership rating of 11.8% and a peak of 12.5%. Based on households in the metropolitan area, it ranked first in the same time slot, including all channels, with an average of 13.6% and a maximum of 14.4%. The 2049 viewership rating, which is the target of tvN's channel, recorded an average of 5.6% and a maximum of 6.0% nationwide, and an average of 6.0% and a maximum of 6.3% in the metropolitan area.
'One-hit Scandal' is a bittersweet romance between Nam Haeng-seon (played by Jeon Do-yeon), the passionate owner of a national side dish store, and Choi Chi-yeol (played by Jeong Kyung-ho), a Korean math instructor. The first episode, which aired last January, got off to a good start with an average of 4.0% nationwide, a high of 5.2%, and an average of 4.3% and a high of 5.8% in the metropolitan area. The current viewership rating is about three times higher than this.

With the beginning of the second act, 'Ilta Scandal' enters a new phase with a more exciting and thrilling story along with the romance between Nam Haeng-seon and Choi Chi-yeol, who are becoming more and more deeply absorbed into each other. Choi Chi-yeol, who used to be lonely and sensitive, is gradually falling in love with Nam Haeng-seon's warm meals, side dishes, and compassionate side. As for Choi Chi-yeol, who has a lot of subtle sloppiness in the Namhaeng Line, I became concerned, and it is slowly seeping into me. The sight of Choi Chi-yeol, who felt excited about Nam Haeng-seon, whom he met as his parent, did everything he could to calm his emotions, aroused both laughter and pity. When the story of Choi Chi-yeol comes up, a smile spreads across Nam Haeng-seon's face. It raises questions about whether the two people whose secret tutoring was revealed to the parents of the all-care class will be able to overcome the difficulties.
Another point that viewers are curious about is the ‘iron ball incident’. Starting with the student who trespassed into Choi Chi-yeol's house and followed him around, following the incident with the window of the national side dish store where Nam Haeng-seon and Choi Chi-yeol almost got seriously injured, Nam Hae-i (played by Noh Yoon-seo) was eliminated through unfair means and entered the all-care class instead. Even the death of Lee Young-min (played by Yoo Jun). A common clue in this case was an iron ball left at the scene. Lee Seon-jae (Lee Chae-min)'s older brother, Lee Hee-jae (Kim Tae-jeong), emerged as the most likely suspect when an iron ball was discovered in his desk drawer. It makes viewers guess who the real culprit of the iron ball incident is and what kind of repercussions it will have.
'Ilta Scandal' focuses more on 'people's stories' than the fierceness of the private education field, a healing story with a human touch based on colorful relationships and warm emotions between characters, and a story that delivers empathy, comfort, and laughter to viewers. This is why it is so well received.
