‘Model Taxi 2’ first episode hit ‘viewer rating 12.1%’

In episode 1 of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Model Taxi 2', which aired at 10 pm on the 17th, the current status of the members after the disbandment of 'Rainbow Dark Heroes' was discussed, as well as Kim Do-gi (played by Lee Je-hoon) and Jang, who remain in Rainbow Transportation and continue to provide revenge agency services. The CEO (played by Kim Eui-seong) received a request from his father (Choi Won) to find Lee Dong-jae (Jo Ji-an), a missing young man suspected of being a victim of a crime, and began to solve the case.
'Model Taxi 2' easily exceeded the viewership rating for the first broadcast of Season 1, recording the highest viewership rating of 14.5%, 12.8% in the metropolitan area, and 12.1% nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea. I vomited. In addition, the 2049 viewership rating, which is a key indicator of channel competitiveness and topicality, also recorded 5.2% in the metropolitan area, taking first place among all programs broadcast on Friday, starting a huge success.
On this day's broadcast, Kim Do-gi and 'Rainbow Dark Heroes', who disguised themselves as infiltrated into a prison where illegal sharing room operators are imprisoned, gave a true education to villains, followed by an exhilarating intro, followed by a recap of the two years in which 'Rainbow Dark Heroes' declared disbandment and dispersed. They opened fire powerfully, illuminating the battle.
And a year later, Kim Do-gi and CEO Jang were continuing their multiple agency service alone at Rainbow Transportation, where Go Eun (Pyo Ye-jin), Choi Joo-im (Jang Hyuk-jin), and Park Joo-im (Bae Yu-ram) had left. Although the two felt the absence of members, they were deliberately pushing the members out to protect the safety and daily life of their precious people. However, the three people are also unable to let go of their affection. Even though the duo Joo-im Choi and Joo-im Park were building solid careers, they had lost the vitality of their daily lives for a long time, but they could not bear to go back because they knew that CEO Jang was pushing them away. Go-eun also felt skeptical about life as a police officer, while living a lonely day with Kim Do-gi and his longing for Rainbow Luck.
Among these, a new client appeared for Kim Do-gi and CEO Jang. He was a father wandering around looking for his missing son. Contact was lost with Lee Dong-jae, the son who had gone abroad to make money, but the police took a lukewarm attitude as they judged him to have simply run away from home, and the client searched for his son on behalf of the police for over 10 months. At this time, the client, who had decided to die after receiving a handwritten will from his son, learned of the existence of the 'Rainbow Model Taxi' at the edge of a cliff.
Kim Do-gi noticed that Lee Dong-jae's will contained a distress signal in Morse code saying 'Please help me' and realized that crime was lurking in the background of the disappearance. Accordingly, Kim Do-gi drove the 5283 model taxi and CEO Jang himself drove a call van and went to the domestic headquarters where Lee Dong-jae had submitted his application, but both the domestic headquarters and overseas branches were ghost companies with no substance. Accordingly, Kim Do-gi found 'Cheongeum International', which appeared to be the same company, based on the recruitment notice that Lee Dong-jae had applied for, and conducted a disguised employment.
Meanwhile, Choi Joo-im and Park Joo-im, who visited Rainbow Transportation after a long time, noticed that Kim Do-gi and CEO Jang were continuing to provide multiple agency services, and regained their daily lives. Moreover, the two people, who assumed that the incident was related to Lee Dong-jae's disappearance, visited Go-eun, told him this news, and began their own design. Go-eun also obtained missing person information through the police computer system, and confirmed through Kim Do-gi's departure record that he was continuing to provide revenge agency services.
At the same time, Kim Do-gi, who arrived in Kotaya, met with a local guide (played by Kim Jeong-hoon) of 'Cheongeum International' along with several young people who passed the job application. The guide, who charmed young people by offering them high wages and enormous benefits, soon revealed his true colors. After collecting the cell phones of Kim Do-gi and his group, he suddenly kidnapped them and imprisoned them in an unknown 'Cheongeum Branch'. This was what Kim Do-gi had hoped for, but the reality of 'Cheongeum' that he actually saw with his own eyes was much more vicious than expected. The gang members indiscriminately beat the kidnapped Kim Do-gi and his group. What 'Cheongeum' wanted was an online illegal gambling program, and they were exploiting the labor of computer majors by luring them into overseas employment and using violence and threats to study programming.
It was an ending that drew attention to what the future would be like for Kim Do-gi, who was in crisis as he was left alone in a foreign country with no one to help him, and whether Kim Do-gi, who was in a desperate crisis, would be able to overcome the crisis and find the missing Lee Dong-jae and return him to his father.
In this way, 'Model Taxi 2' satisfied fans who had been waiting for Season 2 with a larger scale with overseas locations based on the welcome world view of 'Model Taxi', and dynamic development and production without a dull moment. In addition, led by Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-seong, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yu-ram still showed off their attractive character play and drew intense immersion through episodes that stimulated viewers' empathy.
