Lee Chan-won and Hong Jin-kyung confess to being stalked at a department store

JTBC's legal entertainment talk show 'Home Judge', which aired on the 21st, dealt with 'criminal stalking'.
Last year, the stalking punishment law was enacted after the Sindang Station stalking murder case and the murder of three mothers and daughters in Nowon-gu. In relation to this, lawyer Park Eun-joo mentioned persistence, saying, "The types of stalking prescribed by the law include following, approaching, waiting, and directly delivering blood letters, dead animal carcasses, etc. through a third party."

Jeon Hyun-moo said, "The idol I know has a dormitory. He said he came in and was washing dishes. He said he likes me because I communicate when I lose my temper."

Lee Chan-won, who heard this, also recalled his experience of being stalked and said, "It also happened at a department store, and my middle-aged mother said she was a fan, so I signed her notebook and took a picture with her." He continued, "After that, he continued to follow me wherever I went shopping, and I was about to go home. “My daughter was driving and followed the same route I was taking,” he said, describing the horrifying situation.
Afterwards, Lee Chan-won shocked everyone by saying, "It was a department store close to my house, so I felt like my house location would be exposed if I went home. I remember rushing into an alley, turning around for a long time, and going home." .
Regarding stalker crimes, lawyers unanimously said, "The crime of impunity for dissent should be abolished quickly to prevent additional damage in the name of agreement," and "I think provisional measures should also be strictly enforced in case of violations." Attorney Noh Jong-eon then said, "It is a pathological condition involving obsession with narcissism. The risk of recurrence is really high," and added, "We need a system that also includes preventive measures and mental treatment."
