'Biyeondam' Do-woo "I was able to grow through the BL water challenge"
On the 16th, a press conference for the TV drama 'Unintentional Love Story' was held at Leica Cinema in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul. Director Jang Eui-soon and actors Gong Chan, Won Tae-min, and Do-woo attended.
Gong Chan plays Ji Won-yeong, an employee in the general affairs department of a large company who must win the heart of Tae-joon Yoon (played by Seo-won Cha), the chairman's favorite artist, in order to be reinstated. Ji Won-young has a bright nature and likes to help people, so she is a ‘core person’ who always has people around her. Cha Seo-won plays the role of Yoon Tae-jun, a genius potter who disappeared as if erased from the world. Taejun Yoon is a man of few words and appears harsh at first glance, but deep inside he is kind.
Do-woo appears as Kim Dong-hee, the owner of a handsome cafe. Kim Dong-hee reunites with her long-time first love, who was her childhood friend, and shows off their fiery chemistry. Won Tae-min played the role of Go Ho-tae, Kim Dong-hee's childhood friend.
Doe said, “I first received the synopsis and watched the original webtoon. It was an unfamiliar genre, but it was fun, so I watched it all that day. I went to the audition and talked to the director. I thought it was something I would definitely like to try as an actor. I was able to take on the challenge because I got good results. “It was a work that allowed me to grow to the next level,” he said.
Regarding the BL genre, Do-woo said, “There are many other emotions besides love. In the play, he bickers with Ho-tae (played by Won Tae-min), and there are situations where he cannot fall in love due to various circumstances intertwined. There is a sense of friendship and a sense of family. I didn't practice focusing only on the emotion of love because it contains all the joys and sorrows. “I practiced and filmed emotions that could appear in various situations,” he said.
Do-woo said, “I was active in acting, but I took on the challenge of this work with the mindset of a fresh start after returning from the military. He expressed his determination, saying, “I want to use this work as an opportunity to show more works.”
‘Unintentional Love Story’ is a heart-pounding romance drama that restores trust and tells the story of two men who fall in real love in a relationship that started with a lie. It will be released for the first time at 12 noon on the 17th.
