Kim Jeong-hyun suddenly disappeared
In the 15th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Kkokdu's Season', which aired on the 18th, Kokdu (played by Kim Jeong-hyeon), who did not want any more tragedy, entered eternal rest. Han Hane-jeol (played by Im Soo-hyang), who was alone, only shed tears, making viewers cry as they wondered if only sadness would remain in the love between those created by God.
When the door to the underworld opened, the one who was walking in as if possessed was caught and stopped by the name ‘Oh Hyeon’ who was called from Han Hane-jeol’s mouth. The name that was never called while suffering for a thousand years as the god of the underworld, and the name that was forgotten even in Kokdu's memory, was revived through Hanjejeol. Kokdu, who even remembered his love with Seol-hee (played by Im Soo-hyang), which had been erased by resentment, held Hangyejeol in his arms and exchanged greetings that they had not shared in a long time, shaking off old resentments.
But the spring that Kokdu so desperately wanted did not come easily. Gkokdu, who had abandoned his destiny to return to the underworld, began to show abnormal signs that could not be ignored, and it reached a stage where Han Hane-jeol's commands did not work. Kokdu had to swallow the pain from the voice of resentment that surged even with Han Hane-jeol by his side, and in the end, he realized that the time had come to follow God's will by accepting death with Han Hane-jeol's words of love.
Accordingly, Kokdu deleted the ‘do not say I love you’ clause from the protection contract he shared with Han Hane-jeol the other day. Kokdu, who foretells the end to come someday with a smiling face, is filled with pain that has not yet been erased, giving us an idea of how big the emotions he must be dealing with.
Han Hane-jeol, unaware that Kokdu was dying, faced the ‘monster’-like figure he had been so afraid of. Only after he had managed to put Kkokdu, who was going crazy with pain, to sleep, did he face the incredible reality that the end that Kkokdu had predicted was his death, and that the salvation that would come through death was in his hands. He knew very well that Kkokdu was struggling with unbearable pain, but he could not repeat the past and let Kkokdu die, so Han Hane-jeol also had to fight against his empty heart.
Han Hane-jeol, who visited the cathedral with a feeling of grasping at straws, prayed earnestly to be allowed to be with Kokdu. However, it was not easy to cut off the fate of having to personally cut off a relationship that had been reunited after 10,000 lives. A situation in which Kokdu, surrounded by terrible voices, has lost his mind again. Hangyejeol responded to Kkokdu's last wish, “Help me become a human being,” by saying that he loved him, and freed Kkokdu from a thousand-year curse.
Kokdu, who received the gift of quiet peace from Hanjeol, confessed that he was happy at every moment in front of her sobbing, and his expression was filled with mixed emotions. Hangyejeol did not want to miss Kokdu, so he confessed his love over and over again, touching the hearts of viewers. This was the moment when the love that had been unattainable for a thousand years was finally completed.
After a farewell kiss, the 15th episode came to an end with Han Hanjeol falling apart on the road of Kokdu that disappeared like the wind, filling the room with a long lingering feeling.
Episode 16 of ‘Season of Kokdu’ will be broadcast at 9:50 pm on the 24th (Friday).
