According to Nielsen Korea, an audience rating research agency, the 598th episode of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' recorded 6.7% nationwide and 6.8% in the metropolitan area, ranking first in viewership ratings for the same time and Saturday entertainment for 13 consecutive weeks, confirming that it is the unchanging Saturday powerhouse.
The 598th episode of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs', which aired on the 18th, featured the second part of the 'Artist YB' special, with Kim Jin-ho, Kang Seung-yoon, UV, Espero, and Kim Chang-yeon going on stage and performing 'YB's songs that have great meaning in their lives. We started singing representative famous songs.
Jinho Kim opened the first stage. Kim Jin-ho selected ‘White Whale’, and in the beginning, he led the stage with only the power of his voice and a calm piano accompaniment. UV captured everyone's attention with a pleasant and exciting stage composition amidst the sound of traditional Korean instruments and a band. The differentiated stage was completed with rap, laser show, and EDM in the middle of the stage, drawing cheers. Dohyun Yoon said, “It was a stage where I felt the virtues an artist should have,” and Jinho Kim, who was UV’s rival, also said, “I think it has its own unique color.” “It was a stage full of satire and humor,” he said, giving a thumbs up. UV, which showed experimentation and challenge, received more selections than Kim Jin-ho and won one victory.
Espero, who took the stage for the fourth time, selected ‘I Guess I Was in Love’. They completed a musical-like performance with ‘I Must Have Loved You’, which was arranged in a quartet crossover genre. The harmony of the four people brought greater emotion and joy. Yoon Do-hyun said, “I watched with fascination. It's cool, beautiful, and touching. The final stage was decorated with Kang Seung-yoon's 'I am a Butterfly'. Kang Seungyoon, who introduced himself as 'YB Kids', moved around the stage like a butterfly and communicated with the audience. Kang Seungyoon left a great impression and moved people with his unrivaled singing ability and voice. While inheriting YB's spirit from 'I Am a Butterfly', he also captured admiration by capturing his own charm and identity. Park Tae-hee said, “I’m looking forward to what kind of stage Kang Seung-yoon will have tomorrow. “It was such a wonderful stage,” he praised. Kang Seungyoon also smiled and said, “I am very satisfied that many people enjoyed it.”
Kang Seung-yoon stopped UV's three-game winning streak and immediately grabbed the championship trophy.
