'The Glory' Soyo Ahn "I auditioned for the roles of Hyejeong and Sarah"

On the 29th, I met actress Ahn So-yo, who appeared in Netflix's 'The Glory', at the Ten Asia office building in Jungnim-dong, Seoul. Ahn So-yo played the role of Kim Kyung-ran, the manager of the select shop Siesta and the stylist of Park Yeon-jin (played by Lim Ji-yeon). Kim Gyeong-ran was also a victim of school violence by Park Yeon-jin's group during her school days.
Soyo Ahn said, "I went through two auditions. I received a script, read it for 20 to 30 minutes, and then auditioned. First, I received a script with the lines of Hye-jeong (played by Cha Joo-young) and Sara (played by Kim Hee-ra) written on it." He recalled. At the audition, he said, "When I met the director, he said that my image was young and that I looked like a baby. He also said that my image and age did not fit the role." He continued, "At that time, I went without any makeup at all and wore a T-shirt and jeans. I thought, 'It didn't work out,' but fortunately, they called me to the second audition."
At the second audition, Ahn So-yo said, "This time, I put on heavy makeup and dressed up like Sarah and Hye-jeong. But this time, I received a line from Seong-hee (Song Na-young), a friend that Dong-eun met while working at a factory. Isn't she young for that role? So the way I dressed up didn't suit me again. This time, the director said, 'You look older. There's a big age. difference with your role.' So, 'Last time, he told me I looked younger, so I dressed up.' In 'Hospital Playlist' "I played the role of a baby's mother and appealed that I could play characters of all ages. Fortunately, they contacted me and asked me to play the role of Gyeong-ran," she said. He continued, "During the second audition, the director asked me to read Dong-eun's lines, so I did. It was Dong-eun's line in the scene where she exchanged lines with Sung-hee. She gave me feedback that her acting was good, but I heard later that she said she was worried about her image and age group." revealed.
It is said that Ahn So-yo knew that Kim Kyung-ran was the real culprit who killed Son Myeong-oh (played by Kim Geon-woo) even before receiving the official script. Soyo Ahn said, "I knew from the beginning before I received the script. The director asked me to meet him after the audition. 'Why? Are you auditioning again?' "I was curious, but he told me about the character of Gyeong-ran. Even though Gyeong-ran is still a mystery, he told me not to tell anyone that this will happen and suggested that we do it together."
