EXID Hani "Lose 5kg and take care of beauty equipment"
On the 13th, I met actress Ahn Hee-yeon, who appeared in Disney+'s 'Say It's Love', at the Sublime headquarters in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul. Ahn Hee-yeon played the role of Kang Min-young, an ex-girlfriend who suddenly announced a breakup to her long-time lover, Han Dong-jin (played by Kim Young-kwang), through a wedding invitation, but regrets it and tries to regain her past love.
On the outside, Minyoung appears to be a ‘bad ex-girlfriend’. Ahn Hee-yeon said, "A typical image came to mind. There are similar characters in other works. But I felt that if I approached it that way, I would end up with a character that was just a shell of a copy. I thought filming would also be difficult. I thought it wouldn't be what I wanted, so I continued until now. “I acted with the thought that I would just do what I have always done,” he said. He continued, "The stylist and shop teachers put a lot of effort into the external appearance. I thought it would be good to show that kind of image externally, but I didn't think I could do it. I asked the teachers for help. I thought it would be better to leave it up to me. I “I said I would follow it unconditionally,” he said.
In order to portray a character with a haughty and cold image, Ahn Hee-yeon laughed and said, "I tried hard to lose weight. I also took care of my face with a beauty device at home. I also took nutritional supplements that are said to be good for the skin." He added with laughter, saying, "I tried to keep my posture, gestures, and body posture neat, clean, and calm. I thought, 'I can use gestures like this, too.'"
Ahn Hee-yeon also shared the story behind her diet. He said, "There was a time when I had to diet more, especially when there was a scene where Seong-kyeong was carrying me. Just looking at her, it seemed like she wouldn't be able to carry me. She was drunk in the movie, so she had to completely fall over." He said, "At that time, I weighed more than I do now. “I lost 5kg. I didn’t eat before filming that scene,” he said. He then laughed, saying, "My sister told me to just trust myself. She said she was better than I thought. She also introduced me to a PT shop. I carried her on my back and she was stronger than I thought."
Ahn Hee-yeon is studying psychology through Credit Bank System. When asked if psychology helped her in acting in any way, she said, "No, it wasn't. Psychology classifies people based on certain criteria. As a result, I came to put a frame on the character and look at the character as a different being from myself. ‘Say It’s Love’ is an emotional romance between a woman, Shim Woo-joo (played by Lee Sung-kyung), who is eager to seek revenge, and a man, Han Dong-jin, who becomes the target of revenge, a man and a woman who should never have met. All episodes were released until the last episode on the 12th.
