The culprit in the woman's murder case was a child seeking insurance money.
In the 24th episode of T-Cast E Channel's 'Brave Detectives 2' (directed by Ji-seon Lee), which aired on the 14th, Detective Yang Young-yong of Uijeongbu Police Station, Detective Won-dae Yoon of Yangpyeong Police Station, and Detective Kim Cheol-hong of Anyang Manan Police Station appeared and revealed the case log.
The first incident they reported began with a woman in her 30s being found brutally murdered. The victim had no grudges, there were no traces or DNA of the criminal at the scene, and there were no witnesses, making the investigation difficult. As a result of the special team's reconstruction and new analysis of the case, Han, an American woman in her 40s, was identified as the suspect. It was revealed that Ms. Han proposed a new start after divorce to the victim's husband, whom she met through work, but when he was rejected, she made several phone calls to the victim's home or the victim's husband's company. In particular, on the day of the incident, he left for the United States after purchasing a ticket, adding to the suspicion.
Detectives who began a reinvestigation investigated Han's cousin and nephew, who were close to her, but they were hiding something. In the end, when the communication records were presented, the nephew shed tears and confessed, “I said that my aunt killed someone.” Mr. Han went to his cousin's restaurant and confessed to the murder, saying, "I had an accident."
Detectives requested that Mr. Han be extradited to the United States, but he was only able to be extradited to Korea after a year, including being hospitalized after attempting poisoning. Mr. Han did not admit to the crime until the end, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. It is known that he became obsessed with the victim's husband after having trouble adjusting to life in the United States and experiencing conflict with her husband.
The second incident introduced began when a woman was found murdered after suffering 39 stab wounds. One person's footprints were left at the scene, and blood traces of a type O male were also found. However, because the son or lover who was close to the victim did not have type O, the investigation ran into difficulties.
As a result of investigating the friends of my son who grew up in an orphanage due to past circumstances, I learned through the hesitant friend that there was another friend whose whereabouts were unknown, and that friend's DNA matched the DNA presumed to be the criminal's blood stains, shocking everyone. I made it happen.
The son's friend was evasive at the time of arrest, but eventually admitted to the crime. The son, who found out that the victim had taken out a large amount of insurance out of guilt for sending his son to an orphanage, conspired with his friend to commit the crime. In particular, the son was known to have rehearsed the situation, and even afterward, he continued to remain shameless, making everyone bitter. In the end, the son was sentenced to life in prison.
