Lee Je-hoon, “I quench my thirst for romantic comedies through acting with Pyo Ye-jin”

On the 17th, I met actor Lee Je-hoon, who appeared in SBS's 'Model Taxi 2', at a cafe in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul. Lee Je-hoon played the role of Kim Do-gi, a Rainbow Transportation taxi driver who was a former military officer and special forces officer.
'Model Taxi 2' is a private revenge drama in which a mysterious taxi company, Rainbow Transportation, and taxi driver Kim Do-gi complete revenge on behalf of wronged victims. It ended on the 15th with a viewer rating of 21.0%.
Lee Je-hoon attracted attention by holding a parade of secondary characters in disguise to solve cases such as Overseas Employment Youth, Patient, Doctor, Farmer, Lover, and Shaman. Regarding memorable episodes, Lee Je-hoon expressed his affection for the work, saying, "Every episode is special to me." Lee Je-hoon said, "I am reminded of the real estate fraud episode in episodes 5 and 6. The incident of trampling and exploiting children was so unbelievable, and since I have a niece, I was personally very angry. I was angry that they were trying to pursue personal gain by using children who knew nothing. “I caused it. I accepted the incident and story deeply in my heart and tried to punish it. It was an episode that I was very immersed in,” he explained.
Lee Je-hoon chose episodes 3 and 4, in which he transformed into ‘Farmer’s Pottery,’ as an episode in which he had fun acting. He said, "I wanted to speak in the Chungcheong dialect. However, I had never tried the Chungcheong dialect before, so I was worried that viewers would be uncomfortable. I received guidance from someone who is good at the Chungcheong dialect, and I worked hard to act. Isn't the costume flashy? It was exciting to act. “I did it, but I was skeptical about whether I was acting well. Luckily, people thought I was cute, so it was a memorable secondary character,” he said.
It is said that acting in the 7th to 8th episode of Shaman Dogi was physically difficult. Lee Je-hoon said, "Isn't there a scene at the end where a ritual is performed? It was a more difficult scene than any action scene I've done so far. I felt physically sore after filming that. I realized that performing a ritual actually requires a lot of physical strength. I thought it wasn't something that just anyone could do. “I was very surprised,” he said.
In episodes 5 and 6, he and Pyo Ye-jin, who played the role of Ango-eun, disguised themselves as newlyweds. Lee Je-hoon said, "The script only had lines, but there were no specific actions or gestures. I thought about how I could show the sweet newlyweds. I gave ideas to Pyo Ye-jin, tried many things, and tried to create chemistry." said. He then laughed, saying, “I have rarely shown cute or lovely couple acting in my works, but through this, I was able to quench my thirst for acting in romantic comedies.”
Pyo Ye-jin, who appeared on the SBS entertainment show 'My Little Old Boy' that aired the day before, chose Lee Je-hoon as her ideal type. Regarding this, Lee Je-hoon smiled and said, “Thank you. You think of me like this.” He then joked, "I wondered if he had said this with Season 3 in mind. Thank you. I don't know what to do."
