Kim Yu-seok, power thanks to Shim Yi-young who threw himself into it
Kim Yoo-seok acquired money and power by risking the life of his former lover, Shim Yi-young.

In episode 2 of MBC's daily drama 'Fate in Heaven', which aired on the 18th, Kang Chi-hwan (played by Kim Yoo-seok) finally drove Lee Soon-young (played by Shim Yi-young) to death. At the same time, the child Lee Soon-young protected, Hae-in Lee (played by Si-ha Kim), slowly grew up, and the tragedy between father and daughter began.

On this day's broadcast, Lee Soon-young ran to the end of a cliff to avoid the pursuit of Hwang Tae-yong (played by Park Dong-bin), Kang Chi-hwan's henchman, in order to save her child. It is clear that if Hwang Taeyong catches him, not only himself but also the child will be in danger. In the end, Soonyoung Lee made the final choice of throwing herself off the cliff. Lee Soon-young's maternal love, sacrificing her life to protect her child even in a desperate crisis, was heartwarming.

At the same time, Kang Chi-hwan, who was on his honeymoon, was having a subtle fight with his new wife, Jeon Mi-gang (played by Go Eun-mi). Jeon Mi-gang was confused and unable to forget Yoon I-chang (played by Lee Hoon) with whom she suddenly broke up, and at the same time expressed her hostility towards Kang Chi-hwan. Kang Chi-hwan also felt insulted by Jeon Mi-kang's behavior of blatantly ignoring him, but he had to put it down alone.

Meanwhile, an unexpected variable arose that forced Jeon Mi-gang to break her well-guarded pride and seduce Kang Chi-hwan first. After spending the night with Yun Yi-chang, his child was born. However, as Yoon I-chang is currently in prison on drug charges, Jeon Mi-gang decided to deceive Kang Chi-hwan for the sake of the future of their soon-to-be-born child.

Kang Chi-hwan, unaware of Jeon Mi-gang's plans, changed his attitude and willingly accepted his wife who approached him. Kang Chi-hwan, who also heard the news that Lee Soon-young had died, was intoxicated with the sense of victory that he had achieved everything he wanted, saying, "Not even God can stop me now." Jeon Mi-gang's father Jeon Sang-cheol (played by Jeong Han-yong) was already monitoring his son-in-law Kang Chi-hwan's every move. Anxiety, like a time bomb not knowing when it would explode, was slowly suffocating Kang Chi-hwan.

Kang Chi-hwan, who firmly believed that Yoon I-chang's children were his bloodline, gave his young daughter the name Kang Se-na (played by Kim Tae-yeon) and cherished her. Na Jeong-im (played by Jo Eun-sook), who saw Lee Soon-young's final moments, was angry at Kang Chi-hwan's duplicative side, but did not reveal the truth. It was because there was no way to know what the ruthless Kang Chi-hwan would do if he found out that Lee Soon-young and his daughter were alive. Unlike Kang Se-na, who receives the love of her family, Lee Hae-in's appearance, living bravely and brightly at Jaaewon despite being separated from her parents, was heartbreaking.
