Kim Chae-yeon, was the stalker kidnapping a play of her own?
Actress Kim Chae-yeon's story was broadcast on MBN's 'Scoop World', which aired on the 20th. On this day, Kim Chae-yeon shared her current situation, saying, "I've just been busy organizing the kids' supplies, so the house is a mess. It's always like this when I wake up in the morning, so I'll clean it up and say hello."
Afterwards, an interview with Kim Chae-yeon was conducted. He said, "I woke up one morning and became a star? I was filming, I was filming a drama, I was playing the main character, and all these things happened all of a sudden, so I didn't have time to be surprised, I didn't have time to enjoy it, I just thought, 'Maybe I should do it.' “I think I followed him,” he said.
Kim Chae-yeon became an instant star who appeared in various movies and dramas after being selected as a model for a CF advertisement. However, due to a sudden incident, he suddenly disappeared.
He said, "After the live radio broadcast, I got out of the manager's car to go home, and a man in the car in front of me got out and said, 'I'm a fan, can we talk a little?' He said he was a fan who had even sent me gifts so far, so I felt grateful and a fan. “So I couldn’t be rude. I asked him to get in the car and talk for a while,” he recalled of that time.
He continued, "He spoke very politely, but with that polite tone, he acted carelessly. He locked the car door and drove recklessly. I had never experienced it or imagined it, so I used my wits to sneak into the corner of the passenger seat without the man knowing. “I kept reading the sign with the mindset that it would only connect to the last caller by pressing the send button,” he said.
She also said, "I drove for about an hour, and my boyfriend's car blocked the car, just like in the movies, so I stopped the car, knocked on the door, and he opened the door. While I was surprised and said something to my boyfriend, the car drove away."
Kim Chae-yeon was criticized for not reporting this incident to the police, calling it a self-inflicted drama. He expressed his resentment, saying, "It took me a long time to get to this point, but I have never committed a self-inflicted act. I don't even know if that situation is called kidnapping, but if the word kidnapping is right for that situation, then I was kidnapped."
Regarding the reason for not reporting it, he said, "Times were different," and "It's hard to understand these days, but back then, it was a time when having a boyfriend made it almost impossible to work. If you made a mistake, your boyfriend's existence could have become known." He added.
