The rumor that 9 KBS programs will be abolished is groundless.

KBS announced that the rumor about the cancellation of entertainment programs such as ‘The Return of Superman’ and ‘Hong Kim Dong-jeon’ and some current affairs and culture programs is groundless.

On the 21st, KBS issued a statement saying, “We would like to inform you that the cancellation of the program reported by some media outlets today is not true.”

Previously, one media outlet cited KBS's low viewer ratings, topicality, and lack of competitiveness as reasons for KBS1's 'Philosophers of Nature', 'Friend', 'Hall of Yessul', 'I Like the Song', KBS2's 'Hong Kim Dong-jeon', and 'No Money'. It has been reported that 'No Art', 'The Return of Superman', 'Battle Trip 2', and 'Walking Into the Fantasies' will be abolished.

Accordingly, KBS said, "We are frequently adjusting or reorganizing the programming to present better programs to viewers, but currently, no decision has been made regarding the abolition of specific programs or changes to the programming." In addition, they said, “We plan to respond sternly from various angles through continuous monitoring to further spread unfounded rumors or speculative reports.”
