Broadcaster Kang Soo-jeong said that she does not necessarily deny the ‘Hong Kong conglomerate theory’.

Former announcer Kang Soo-jeong appeared as a special guest on MBC's 'Fathers Who Crossed the Water', which aired on the 23rd.

Kang Soo-jeong married her Korean-American husband, who worked in the Hong Kong financial industry, in 2008 and began living in Hong Kong. It is known that Kang Soo-jeong gave birth to a son in 2014, and that the son is currently attending an international school in Hong Kong. Kang Soo-jeong said, “Before I gave birth to a child, I felt like I was traveling a bit,” and introduced the changes in her daily life in Hong Kong before and after raising a child.

Kang Soo-jeong also revealed her Hong Kong home through her YouTube channel. The area where Kang Soo-jeong lives is ‘Repulse Bay’, which is known as Hong Kong’s representative wealthy area. It attracted attention as a ‘view restaurant’ with a panoramic view of the sea.

The MCs introduced Kang Soo-jeong as ‘the mother who crossed the water’. When MC In Gyo-jin asked, "I heard that your cousin is great," Kang Soo-jeong said, "I heard that too and went (to Repulse Bay). I heard a rumor that Yoo Deok-hwa and Chow Yun-fat were there, but they had already moved out."

Kang Soo-jeong said, “There are rumors that he is a Hong Kong conglomerate, but he never says no.” For that reason, he made people laugh by saying, “I don’t want people to look like they aren’t there. I try to make them look like they are there.” Kang Soo-jeong added to the laughter by proudly saying, “As far as I can see, I am the only celebrity in our complex.”

Kang Soo-jeong, mother of a 10-year-old son, spoke about the passion for education among Hong Kong mothers, known as ‘tiger moms.’ ‘Tiger Mom’ refers to a mother who strictly manages her children like a tiger. Kang Soo-jeong said, "Hong Kong mothers are passionate about education, so they teach children to play the violin from the age of 3 or 4. They are a little similar to Korean mothers," and introduced the differences she felt between Korean and Hong Kong mothers.
