Hong Jin-young, who was neither a trot nor an idol, said, “I was lonely.”

In TV Chosun's 'Gourmet Heo Young-man's Baekban Travels' (hereinafter referred to as 'Baekban Travels'), which aired on the 5th, Hong Jin-young took part in a dining trip in Dalseo-gu, Daegu.
Hong Jin-young had a meal with Heo Young-man that day and said, "I was 25 when I started trotting. There weren't many people my age at the time." He then said that he was the first generation of semi-trot, a mixture of traditional trot and idol music, and expressed his true feelings, saying, "I was lonely because I could not belong to a genre that was unfamiliar to me."
Hong Jin-young also attracted attention when asked, "When you go to an event, don't you eat a lot of delicious food?" by saying, "If you go to the Icheon Rice Festival, you will get rice, if you go to the Apple Festival, you will get apples, if you go to the Korean Beef Festival, you will get Korean beef, and if you go to the Grape Festival, you will get grapes."
The sheer volume of events was also surprising. He confessed, “I’ve done 7 or 8 events in one day. It’s very common to do day trips to Japan, and I even went to Da Nang (Vietnam) on a day trip.”
Heo Young-man said, "It goes back and forth like a sewing machine. Oil companies will like it. They say it uses a lot of oil." Hong Jin-young joked, “That’s why I go to a lot of oil company events. I also received a lot of gas gift certificates.”
